My specialities include: ADHD, anxiety, sports performance, autism, depression, grief, divorce, infidelity, career guidance, behavioural issues, men's issues , parenting, stress, insomnia, life coaching, addiction, chronic pain, and substance use.
You may feel stuck, lost, distracted, disconnected, or broken. Men are often expected to conform to traditional masculine ideals, which can include stoicism, emotional suppression, isolation, and a reluctance to seek help. These pressures can make it difficult for men to acknowledge and address their mental health concerns, leading to a wide ranges of concerns including anxiety, addiction, depression, substance misuse, poor relationships, and isolation. I work with men to help break down the stigma of seeking help and provide you with the support and resources you need to prioritize your mental health.

I specialize in Men's Issues , Trauma, mood disorders, and complex Relational issues.
I often wonder why there is so much pain and suffering. I realized that what we need is not homeostasis or a tensionless state. Instead, we need the right amount of tension for change, growth, and development to take place. I had the privilege to journey with people facing different aspects of the human condition (suffering, grief, loss, meaninglessness, etc.) I am often amazed by human determination, courage, and strength in the process toward growth and development as they face life challenges. Life is full of challenges and adversity; it would be a privilege to journey with you toward a meaningful and purpose-driven life.

For 25 years, I have been in practice both within the hospital and community settings. I work with a diverse group of individuals with an eclectic range of issues. I strongly value the relationship between the therapist and the client and so do not adhere to a predetermined approach to therapy; every person's situation is unique and as a result, my approach is tailored to meet individual needs.

Most of my clients chose me because they need a psychotherapist and marriage and family therapist with a systemic lens who sees their "presenting problem" in the context of their relationships. Whether they deal with personal concerns such as depression and anxiety or have marital and family issues, they come to me to be enabled to have a holistic and systemic understanding of their problems and find practical solutions for their problems. Therefore, I try my best from my side to help, and together, we develop various strategies to solve the problems.

We live in the time of greatest wealth and technological connectiveness in human history. And yet, people are more anxious, depressed, prone to procrastination and social isolation than ever before. Can both be true? Yes, because we also live in a time of unprecedented change and uncertainty. We all long for connection, but we just don't know how to get and stay there. Finding a safe and confidential place to talk, to unburden problems and search for solutions might be the best, most certain first step you can take in this uncertain world. Our meaning and mental health hangs in the balance.

I work with both men and women who are aware of their issues, motivated towards personal, spiritual and relational growth and are willing to invest the time and effort it takes to reach their full potential. I treat couples who want the tools, transformative experiences and resources that create strong and fulfilling relationships. I work with individuals who are ready to take the next step in their self-discovery and who want to realize the fullness of who they can be at whatever age or stage of life they are at.

As a man, emotions and sharing them often create barriers for relationships with others and with ourselves. Support around emotional awareness for men is important to help build a better connection with all aspects of our lives. Being able to share and communicate who we "really" are is vital to a fulfilling life. I help men deal with emotional awareness. Supporting men to work through their own emotional histories and how that effects them daily is the key to connecting to your true "self". We need to address issues, like Trauma, Addiction and Shame, to help you understand the roots of emotional identity and its effects today.

In our culture, we often think of experiences or symptoms like anxiety, stress, insomnia etc. as problems to be fixed or gotten rid of. What if they were more like signs, signals, or guideposts trying to tell us what was off balance or that we were heading off our course in our lives? If this resonates with you, and you would to get unstuck and move forward in your life, email is the best way to reach me.

Men's Issues Counsellors

Is therapy for men different than it is for women?

Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.

How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?

It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can men prepare for therapy?

Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.

What should men know about the process of therapy?

One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
