As an experienced therapist, I offer individual and couple’s counselling. Whether it’s addiction based issues, such as substance use, gambling and sex, or emotional issues from our journey as young children, many of these issues can be concurrent with many mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, etc. Any one or a combination of these can keep us from finding our true, authentic selves. Through therapy, we have the chance to be heard, believed and empowered. These are key to our mental, physical, emotional and spiritual recovery as individuals and together.

My approach is relational, attachment-based, and trauma-informed; I often use person-centred, compassion-focused, and interpersonal therapies in my practice.
Sometimes we are faced with challenges that can make it hard to live the life we want. In these difficult periods, therapy can provide an opportunity to connect with another person, explore the problems you may be facing, and figure out a path forward that works for you. My priority is creating a safe space between me and my clients, which means I approach every person and problem with respect, compassion, and without judgement. Regardless of how you feel right now, you (yes, you!) have strengths, expertise, and valuable experiences that I’m here to help you unearth, reclaim, or explore.

I take a trauma-informed, person-centered approach, blending elements of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and attachment-based therapy.
As men, we’re often told to tough it out, bury our struggles, or handle everything ourselves. But real strength isn’t about silence—it’s about knowing when to lean in and do the work.
My goal as a therapist is to create a space where you can show up as you are—no judgment, no pressure, just honest conversations that help you move forward. Whether you're dealing with stress, relationship struggles, anxiety, or a sense of being stuck, I’m here to listen, challenge, and support you in ways that make sense for your life.
You don’t have to carry it all on your own. Let’s take the next step together.

Relationships are at the core of feeling love and belonging. However, when our relationships are functioning poorly we can experience anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, or anger. In this space, we will explore how early life relationships shaped your attachment, communication, and conflict patterns to connect them to the impact they are having in your current life. From there, we can develop healthy new patterns. I also work with couples on their communication, boundaries, intimacy, meeting needs, and trust. Together you will learn to communicate safely and predictably and co-create your ideal intimate life.

Do you feel stuck, unsure, or overwhelmed? Maybe you're navigating challenges in your relationships with a partner, family, or friends. Whatever brings you here, you've taken a courageous step.

My work is grounded in Attachment-Based Therapies, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Narrative Therapy.
Whether you’re processing grief, trauma, or navigating relational complexities, I help individuals and couples make sense of these dynamics in a way that fosters agency, connection, and meaningful change. Therapy isn’t necessarily about ‘fixing’—it’s an experiential process.

I use an attachment-based approach, focusing on strengthening the bond between you and your child.
You’re exhausted. Balancing the demands of daily life while navigating parenting your neurodivergent child is draining. You’re not just a parent—you’re a case manager, a teacher, and an advocate all rolled into one. I get it. I’m a parent of three neurodivergent children. I’ve been there during the sleepless nights, the endless research, and the overwhelming interactions with a system that doesn’t always make things easy. I understand the unique challenges you face and how isolating it can feel when the usual parenting strategies and advice that just don’t work. I know what it’s like to be “in the trenches” of parenthood.

For issues with interpersonal relationships, I work mostly from an attachment-based perspective; we will explore how past relationships affect the ways you understand yourself, the world, and others.
If you're considering seeing a psychologist, you're uncomfortable with something in your life. Maybe you've carried around a vague dissatisfaction with yourself, with others, or with life for as long as you can remember. Maybe you feel empty, hollow, or like some piece of you is missing. Maybe you feel full to bursting with rage, with pain, with despair. Maybe you've noticed that all your relationships tend to end the same way, but you're not sure why. Maybe you keep changing jobs, but never feel accomplished.

In trauma-focused therapy I tend to use a combination of Attachment-based, Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Psychodynamic, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy interventions.
Asking for help is hard to do. There are many reasons why people decide to start therapy. Perhaps you are feeling a loss of balance in your life, have disconnected from close relationships, or are having difficulty coping with distress from past experiences. Whatever the reason, therapy can help a person to develop a curiosity for self-reflection, increase self-awareness, encourage productive thinking patterns, implement effective coping strategies, and learn to better regulate their emotions.

Using somatic practices, mindfulness, attachment-based methods, and dialectical behaviour therapy.
In today’s fast-paced and demanding world, many people find themselves grappling with heightened levels of anxiety, overwhelm, and stress in their relationships, careers, and overall life. Navigating life's challenges can feel overwhelming, and it is natural to struggle with your thoughts and emotions. As the pressures of modern living intensify, feeling strained and uncertain about how to manage and find balance is a common experience.

Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?
Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.
What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?
Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.
How long does attachment-based therapy last?
Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.
Does attachment-based therapy work?
Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
