Why suffer when something can be done about it? There is no such thing as "my problems aren't bad enough?". A difficulty is a difficulty, degree of difficulties does not matter -you do not have to suffer. If you feel sad, lost or anxious? Are struggling in your relationships with your spouse, children, friends or family? Are tired of being "stuck" or circling the same challenges over and over again? If you feel that there must be more to life? You deserve a different way of living, professional support can help to guide you through and move you forward.

Are you ready to do the deeper work? If you often feel anxious, emotionally overwhelmed, or sense that past experiences still influence you today, you’re not alone. I work with individuals who want to understand the why behind patterns such as perfectionism, people-pleasing, or fear of rejection. These patterns can influence how we interact with daily life/relationships. I believe healing happens through curiosity, compassion, and patience, rather than pressure to push past or ignore what you’re feeling. Together, we gently explore what lies beneath the surface, supporting greater clarity, emotional safety, and trust in yourself.

You keep things running for everyone else — but underneath, you’re running on EMPTY. You show up. You take care of things. You do what needs to get done. But inside, you may be carrying more than anyone sees. Do you do more than your share just to keep things calm? Think carefully about how to say things so no one gets upset? Put your own NEEDS aside because it feels easier than speaking up? From the outside, it may look like you have it together. But inside, you feel drained, stuck in your head, or tired of always adjusting. You might think: Why do I keep going along with things I’m not okay with? Why is it so hard to say what I

Everyone has different experiences in life; my focus as a therapist is to understand what certain experience(s) meant to you, and what the result of those experiences were. In this way, my approach is to first and foremost meet you where are and understand your experiences as your own. With so many things in life that can shape and direct our stories and influence our understanding of our "selves", it is up to us to re-connect with our truths and re-establish our identities free from old and harmful narratives. This is something I am passionate about providing to clients in the therapeutic space.

Grief can feel isolating, especially when the loss is sudden, traumatic, or not fully understood by others. You may find yourself carrying emotions that surface unexpectedly—waves of sadness, anxiety that tightens your chest, or nights when sleep won’t come because the weight of it all feels too heavy. These experiences can feel overwhelming and hard to hold alone.

I aim to work collaboratively and understand my clients by using techniques from CBT, emotion-focused, psychodynamic, and mindfulness based therapies.
Welcome! At some point, you may have experienced stress, felt anxious, overwhelmed, sad, or depressed. No one is immune to these common, human conditions. Sometimes, we can work such emotions out on our own by changing our lifestyles, reading books, taking classes, or through talking with friends and family members. Other times, we notice patterns that we haven’t been able to change on our own, or issues start to overwhelm us and negatively affect our lives, relationships, and work. I hope to create a warm and supportive environment where my clients are encouraged to seek positive change and growth.

I work with people who are navigating something difficult at work. That might be ongoing stress or burnout, anxiety that shows up in meetings or high-stakes conversations, a challenging relationship with a manager or a team, feeling like an imposter, or an event like a performance review, career change, promotion, or job loss. Sometimes it's feeling stuck in a career that doesn't feel quite right anymore. Work takes up a large part of our lives and shapes how we see ourselves. When it becomes a source of struggle, the effects spill into our personal lives, our relationships, and our sense of who we are.

◑‿◐ You or your child keep moving through life, but deep down, something still feels missing. For some, it is lying awake with an anxious mind, for others, it is the weight of depression, the sting of trauma, or stress that makes every day harder. You notice anger rising when you least expect it, or habits you wish you could change holding on too tightly. My clients also share that they feel trapped by perfectionism, low self-esteem, or relationships that never feel fulfilling. Therapy can be a place to understand why you feel stuck, reconnect with who you are, and begin building a calmer, stronger, and more confident life.

Mindfulness-Based (MBCT) Counsellors
How does mindfulness-based cognitive therapy work?
Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy originated in the work of John Kabat-Zinn of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He developed mindfulness-based stress reduction, which is a technique found in yoga and meditation. MBCT is a combination of this type of stress reduction and cognitive behavioral therapy; it essentially quiets emotional distress through mindfulness, utilizing proper breathing and meditation. These techniques aim to bring the individual into the present moment when in a state of distress.

When do I know if I need treatment with mindfulness-based cognitive therapy?
If an individual’s mind is filled with emotional distress and general negativity, the person may feel trapped. A mindfulness-based cognitive therapist can help a person change their thinking patterns as well as their behaviour through calm acceptance and compassion. This therapy can provide an individual with the coping skills needed for a healthier and more constructive life.

What should I expect from mindfulness-based cognitive therapy?
This therapy often takes place in group sessions. A therapist will work with the group as well as with each individual. Meditation and breathing exercises are core practices that aim to invite inquiry and discovery into a person’s troubled mental state. The objective is to identify and lessen negative thoughts and behaviours and move toward optimal health and productivity. The individual will see life in a more realistic way. This therapy is supportive, accepting, and warm.

Is mindfulness-based cognitive therapy effective?
Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy is evidence-based and effective. One study found that people with major depressive disorder have benefitted from this type of therapy; the person accepts their distressed thoughts and also moves into healthier patterns of thinking. This therapy also aims to move an individual away from automatic negative responses. This type of therapy can bring a person lifelong change, with higher levels of satisfaction, less stress, as well as positive emotional and behavioural habits.
