Other common areas related to my focus revolve around men's issues in life, relationships, and work.
If you’re silently struggling with porn addiction, you already know the emotional toll: shame, secrecy, and the frustration of breaking promises to yourself. Whether it’s Pornhub, OnlyFans, cam sites, or endless scrolling, your partner may feel hurt and disconnected. You’re likely overwhelmed by guilt and stuck in patterns you swore you’d quit. Even if you’re not in a relationship, porn may still be affecting your confidence, focus, or ability to connect. It doesn’t have to stay this way. I help men who feel stuck in this cycle break free from compulsive porn use and rebuild intimacy without shame or judgment.

I consider it a privilege to support clients facing issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, stress, career counselling, life transitions, substance use, low self-esteem, or trauma. To accomplish this, I encourage clients to ask...and answer...the WHY question. WHY am I feeling anxious? WHY can’t I make relationships work? WHY can’t I get out of this funk? WHY are my thoughts so scattered? WHY do I have trust issues? WHY I am unhappy? WHY do I allow others to treat me this way? WHY do I abuse drugs, food, or alcohol? WHY do I have trouble loving myself? WHY am I so afraid of being vulnerable?

Are you tired of suffering in silence? As a man, you may feel uncomfortable thinking or talking about your feelings. From challenges in your relationships and your career to feelings of self-doubt, you may find yourself feeling disconnected from how you want to show up in your life. Life’s stressors can have you acting in ways that you don’t feel good about at the end of the day. By talking it out, you can find calm in the chaos, and develop new ways of coping. As a male therapist who understands how men have been conditioned to suppress their feelings, I invite you to explore those emotions in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

Do you find yourself to be very self-critical and worried about what other people think of you? You’re someone who puts yourself second to make sure other people are happy, but still find yourself anxious, feeling burnout, and thinking you're not “good enough”. You may be worried to change because you’re scared your friends and loved ones will stop liking you. But you’re ready to make a change. You’re ready to set boundaries with those around you. You’re ready to stop ruminating on negative thoughts. Most of all, you’re ready to love yourself and embrace your strengths and weaknesses. I want to help you get there.

Have you been feeling disconnected from your self, body, culture, or loved ones? I work with clients who are seeking deeper self-understanding, emotional clarity, and a more embodied connection to life. Many of the people I support feel overwhelmed or out of alignment and perhaps intellectually aware of what’s wrong, but unsure how to move forward in a meaningful or grounded way. With a background in kinesiology, training in somatic trauma work, and a Master’s in Counselling Psychology, I help clients move through anxiety, depression, life transitions, and past traumas using both evidence-based tools and body-based awareness.

Is therapy for men different than it is for women?

Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.

How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?

It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can men prepare for therapy?

Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.

What should men know about the process of therapy?

One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
