I work with concerns related to anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, and perinatal mental health.
It's hard to be human. Our mind ruminates about the past and frets about the future. Our society overwhelms us with choices, expectations, and seemingly endless demands on our time and energy. We pursue answers and achievements, only to be left with worry and sadness. We are disconnected from ourselves and from each other. If you're feeling lonely and uncertain, please know you are not alone and you are worthy of support. Although we cannot eliminate our suffering, we can change our relationship to painful thoughts and feelings to live more compassionately, flexibly, and skillfully.

I have accompanied clients through a range of experiences, including trauma, grief, life transitions, perinatal, and parenting.
Wherever you find yourself at this moment, there is possibility. Whether you’re wading through hard times, on the brink of change, or seeking personal growth, therapy can provide an opportunity to encounter yourself in a new way. I approach therapy from an attachment-based, trauma-informed, somatically-oriented perspective. This means that I attend to my clients’ emotions, experiences, and bodily felt sense as they emerge in our work together. One of my favourite models of therapy is AEDP, which blends all these aspects within the container of a deeply relational process.

I aim to help you overcome grief and loss, improve relationships, manage parenting challenges, and navigate life transitions.
There are moments in life when we lose touch with ourselves — when even simple things feel overwhelming, when we smile on the outside but carry a quiet ache inside. I know how hard it can be to reach out when you feel stuck or unsure of where to begin. Therapy, for me, is not about fixing what’s broken, but about creating a space where you feel safe to be real — even messy, even confused. My work is relational, grounded in presence, trust, and a deep belief that change is possible when we feel truly seen. I bring authenticity, warmth, and also a sense of humility — we’re both human, and healing is something we co-create.

I can support individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, addiction, and grief and loss.
I believe that everyone has inner strengths and resilience, even when those qualities feel out of reach. Therapy is not about fixing what’s “wrong,” but about rediscovering what’s already within you and building tools that align with your values and goals.

How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.
When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.
Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.
What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
