Whether it's crept up on you slowly or brought you to a crisis point, a lot of what brings individuals & couples to therapy is the same: a pattern that keeps repeating, and a sense of being stuck in it. That's the heart of what I do — helping you understand the pattern, & then actually do something different with it.
I'm Kevin, a Registered Psychotherapist working with individuals & couples online across Ontario. My approach is warm but direct, and relational at its core: we look together at how these cycles took shape, how they once made sense, and at what it takes to create enough emotional safety to begin responding differently.

Making sense of our lives is no easy task. Each of us finds ourselves at the centre of a story that has never been lived by anyone else before. In our work together, we’ll explore the experiences and influences that have shaped your story and how they affect your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and relationships. This understanding can help clarify who you are, who you want to become, and how we can begin improving the challenges you’re facing.

You’re carrying a weight that feels impossible to share. Maybe you’ve lost someone who shaped your world, or you’re facing trauma that won’t let you rest. Perhaps you’ve been told to ‘tough it out,’ but you know that isn’t working anymore. The emotional pain is real. The sleepless nights, the moments when grief crashes over you, and the pressure to appear fine when you’re struggling inside. You may be questioning who you are without the person you lost, or dealing with emotions you’ve never been taught to express.

Many families are big, loud, and full of life. They can also have no privacy, interfering relatives, blatant sexism, and an infinite supply of shame and guilt trips. I help people deal the abuse and judgment they have faced in their own household. From angry parents, manipulative in-laws, and toxic aunties, I work with people to identify the kind of life they want. We work to find independence, build boundaries, and learn how to regulate our emotions. I help you find ways to stand up, unburden yourself from the past, and not continue to be chained by how others treat you. Everyone deserves to feel love and care in relationships.

Sometimes you can keep going, even when things feel out of sync until the impact starts to show in your relationships, work, or overall well-being. I’m a registered social worker and therapist, and I support individuals working through anxiety, depression, anger, grief, workplace burnout, life transitions, intergenerational conflicts, isolation, and challenges with coping. In my work, I aim to create a space where you don’t have to explain your background or hide what you’re going through. With an understanding of South Asian family dynamics, I offer support that helps you feel seen, grounded, and more aligned.

You don’t have to face it alone. Many men carry their struggles quietly — pushing through stress, relationship tension, and emotional pain while trying to “hold it together.” But beneath the surface, that pressure can build until it starts affecting your mood, your confidence, and the people you love.
I specialize in supporting men who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected — whether it’s from partners, family, or even from themselves. You may be navigating relationship challenges, anxiety, low motivation, anger, or the weight of expectations about what it means to “be a man.” Whatever it looks like for you, there’s a way forward.

If you're a South Asian young professional (ages 18 to 35) attempting to navigate challenges around self-esteem, anxiety or dating/relationships, I see and hear where you're coming from. Although you may view the world from a primarily western lens, you're probably still navigating life between two worlds. This can often involve trying to meet expectations you've internalized over time, along with managing feelings of guilt, resentment & loneliness. In some cases, you may try to find relief from these difficult emotions by overusing social media, watching hours of entertainment, immersing yourself in work or using food as an escape.

As human we are Spirit beings with a Mind and Body. creating a balance between these three elements is essential to live a healthier life. Issues like depression, anxiety, or compulsive thought and behaviors needs a treatment plan that includes these three elements. We are also governed by our cultural values and norms, so providing culturally and religiously sensitive therapy is very important especially with interpersonal and intrapersonal conflicts.

Life can be full of ups and downs, and sometimes we all need a little extra support to navigate through it. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just need someone to talk to, you don’t have to go through it alone.

As a man, why might I want to see a male therapist?
There are many reasons a man might wish to work with a male therapist, including a degree of shared identity, which may help client and therapist connect to each other and allow for a more free-flowing discussion of issues that can be deeply personal. Some men may feel more comfortable talking to a male therapist about relationship concerns, the pressures they feel around the roles society and family place on men, career or job challenges, self-esteem, or anger problems. For some men who have not had a male role models in their lives, a good male therapist may be especially helpful.
How can I find out about a therapist’s experience treating men?
Individuals looking for treatment should feel comfortable directly asking a therapist about their history treating men overall and the issues that arise in therapy with men. A good therapist will be happy to discuss such matters as well as their educational background, approach to treatment, and how they think they can aid a prospective client.
Can clients benefit from having a therapist of the same gender?
Therapy is not gender-specific, but some men as well as women feel more comfortable opening up about their experiences and history with therapists of a specific gender. An individual may feel that they have to explain less background information and be on the same page more quickly, particularly when discussing gender-specific challenges. That said, a good clinician can transcend most if not all gender concerns. Ultimately, the most important factor in therapy is the connection and trust the client is able to build with the practitioner.
Would a male therapist have specific training in treating men?
Generally, no. There are no certifications for treating men specifically, but there are continuing education classes that therapists may take that focus on treating men as a group. There are many therapists who focus on men and male issues in their treatment and therefore have experience and expertise in this domain.
