Amid joy and excitement, life is often filled with unexpected challenges. My goal is to help you navigate such challenges through a nonjudgmental and culturally sensitive approach. It is my belief that clients must be empathized with, rather than pathologized. I will be there to listen and support you, regardless of what your unique story entails. I take great interest in helping clients navigate anxiety, relationship challenges, depression, and low self-esteem and am comfortable working with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Re-interpret my relationship with faith and spirituality, which deepened my understanding of how to approach authenticity.
Our modern world has not equipped us with tools to understand what it means to be human. Feelings of depression, anxiety, and loneliness become more intolerable with age. We become overwhelmed by challenges in relationships and moral dilemmas, feeling lost and lack of meaning. I believe in a trauma-informed and whole-person approach to mental health. I can offer you a safe non-judgemental space to explore your consciousness and felt-sense experience in your body. The implications of trauma are profound, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Through inner work, you will enrich your everyday experience as you journey onwards.

What obstacles stand in your path, today or everyday? Maybe these obstacles represent unhelpful thoughts and behaviours, relationship challenges, painful and traumatic life experiences, chronic stress, worry, and overwhelm. I am eager to take the journey with you to explore these obstacles, and to find adaptive ways to overcome them. Rather than navigating around the obstacles, what if we confronted them head-on, and leveraged them as a stepping stone on your path forward?

I work with individuals and couples experiencing challenges related to anxiety & depression, stress, relationship issues and cultural identity.
Everyone gets stuck at some point in life. Sometimes the weight of life challenges can become overwhelming. We start to experience negative feelings such as uncertainty about where we are headed and become overwhelmed by intrusive thoughts, which can cause us to be disconnected from ourselves and others. Maybe we cannot pinpoint the problem, but something feels "off." If you have a similar experience, please reach out. In our work together, I will provide you with a safe, accepting space to discover your inner strengths and resources. Together, we will explore your emotions and deepen your understanding of your inner world .

I am here to help your family: Anything from making decisions towards establishing a new relationship or ongoing conflicts between couples , to the matters that concern children, the most vulnerable members of the family. I do provide individual, couple, and family counselling, and play therapy. Family conflicts negatively impact children’s emotional, social and cognitive development. Couples Counselling

Does couples counseling work?

Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?

Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?

The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?

The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
