Many people face the emotional toll of navigating stress, burnout, mood concerns, chronic illness, ADHD, ASD, bullying, grief, and trauma.
Together, we begin by exploring your current situation and the challenges you're facing. From there, we create a personalized and holistic plan to help you progress toward your goals, celebrating your achievements along the way. I prioritize providing a supportive and safe environment with the option of in-person or virtual sessions to fit your schedule.

I find that the world today is struggling with a lack of connection. Whether it’s the connection between parent and child, siblings, individual to group, or the connection we feel deep within ourselves, many are feeling lost, unheard, and alone. There's no doubt that it can be difficult to seek help and support, so I'm glad you're here - as it truly takes courage to reach out and advocate for ourselves and our loved ones.

They say our greatest weakness lies in giving up! We have all been there. My name is Maria Veronica Caracciolo, and I decided that if life was going to be a monster, I would become its greatest “warrior” and teach others to do the same. Too often we use our armour to hide our inner selves, rather than see it as our strength which only comes from taking a risk, facing our fears, taking a step forward, and learning that every battle is won with wisdom. I am here to empower you to take that chance on yourself — your mind is a powerful force, but you are its master!

I believe that each person has strength and resilience within them. Sometimes we only need a helping hand to get there. I have helped many individuals discover this strength, find healing, and move towards the life they want to live. As a person-centred therapist, I believe in empowering individuals to discover more about who they are in a collaborative approach to therapy. I work hard to build trust and create a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to come as they are, and together, take steps towards health and recovery.

You do not need to carry the weight of anxiety, sadness, shame, addiction, or grief alone—healing and freedom are possible. I believe every person holds within them the capacity to live a life that feels meaningful, grounded, and whole—a life where they are not merely surviving, but truly living. Therapy can provide you with a space for healing, growth, and finding your way back to a life that feels like home. I will walk beside you as you begin to shift old patterns and step into healthier ways of living and being.

People often come to therapy believing they should be coping better than they are. From the outside, their lives may look well-managed: they’re working, raising families, and meeting responsibilities, yet underneath, they’re exhausted and anxious. They overthink conversations, struggle with boundaries, or they carry an unexplained weight. If that sounds familiar, you’re exactly the kind of person I work with.
I previously practised medicine, which taught me that emotional struggles rarely stay confined to our thoughts. Stress, burnout, and anxiety show up in our bodies and relationships, quietly shaping our decisions and our lives.

To me, therapy is about giving each individual client the space and support they need to process and work through what is plaguing their minds, hearts, and bodies. Some problems can seem impossible to manage, but these may simply require more time and more help to break the larger issues down into smaller, more achievable pieces, and to figure out what can be done—that’s where I come in. While I’m not there to dictate what to do or how to do it, it can be helpful to have someone present who wants to listen and understand, and who has evidence-based tools to help guide your healing journey, while also walking it alongside you.

Life can be challenging. When something throws us for a loop, our usual coping strategies may not be enough and we find ourselves feeling lost, afraid or unsure of what to do & how to manage. If you are experiencing a crisis or major life transition such as job loss, diagnosis of illness or chronic health condition, relationship crises (i.e., infidelity, abuse, separation), psychotherapy and clinical counselling can help you regain your bearings and cultivate novel coping strategies to get you back on your feet. As an EMDR trained therapist, I also offer this valuable therapy for healing from trauma and distressing experiences.

I believe that there is good in every person, and hope in every situation. I have helped hundreds of individuals, couples, and families heal, grow, and connect. As a relational therapist, I appreciate the impact that our relationships have on our well-being. I do not see clients as having something wrong with their minds that necessarily needs to be fixed. Rather, I see my clients as unique individuals, each with their own stories and perspectives, embedded in important relationships and contexts that impact them. I see strengths and I see hope, even when it feels like there is none.

Developing and strengthening healthy bonds in couples is my specialty. I have level 3 training in the Gottman method and use this framework to assist individuals and couples in exploring issues such as conflict-prone communication, infidelity/ emotional affairs, emotional distance, frequent arguments, fighting about the same things repeatedly, feeling unheard and unseen by their partner, feeling like roommates instead of partners, lack of trust and intimacy, as well as contemplating breakup, separation or divorce. I also see single, divorced and widowed people looking to heal from past relationships and/ or start a new relationship.

We know the universe is vast, yet we often overlook the vastness of the human mind. I have a passion and curiosity for exploring each person's mini-universe, where there are mysteries waiting to be unfolded, strength and resilience to be found, and the potential for real change.
While we all face adversities and uncertainty, each person's challenges are unique, and so I consider each client the expert on their own experience of their minds & bodies. I believe our minds can amplify our suffering at times, but I also believe we can learn to better understand and access our emotions, change our narratives, and build lasting solutions.
