At Sun and Soil Psychotherapy, I support helpers—social workers, educators, caregivers, and early- career professionals experiencing burnout, boundary fatigue, and career uncertainty.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by the weight of your roles—holding everything together while running on empty? I support individuals who feel burnt out, stretched by cultural expectations, and stuck in cycles of over-responsibility. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, feel seen, and begin moving from survival mode into a more grounded, sustainable way of living. As a Trini-Bajan Canadian and child of immigrant parents, I understand what it means to navigate multiple cultural worlds while carrying unspoken expectations.

Are you smart, driven, career-focused - and quietly falling apart?
As a Type A overachieving empath myself, I truly understand how hard it can be to focus on your mental health in today's fast-paced culture. Are you smart, driven, career-focused woman in Ontario who is juggling 85 things at 120% until you crash and scroll mindlessly while also watching Netflix ordering Uber Eats?
As a Type A overachieving former lawyer myself, I truly understand how hard it can be to prioritize YOU in today's urgency-based culture. As a masters level intern therapist, I now specialize in helping high-functioning professional women to regulate their overactive nervous systems and balance in their lives, without having to give up all they build.

Are you longing to feel close again? Do you find yourselves stuck in the same painful conversations- or avoiding them altogether? Every relationship goes through seasons. Sometimes the friendship feels strong and easy. Other times, stress, misunderstandings, betrayal, or life transitions create distance. You may still love each other deeply, yet feel unheard, unseen, or alone in the relationship. I work with couples at many different stages. In our work together, both partners matter. I create a calm, respectful space where difficult conversations can happen safely- where emotions are understood, and repair becomes possible.

I work with high functioning women in their 30's and 40's who look like they have everything together on the outside - but internally feel overwhelmed, anxious or stuck in cycles of overthinking. Many of my clients' are professionals navigating anxiety, OCD, intrusive thoughts, burnout or shifts in mood. They're used to being capable and responsible, which can make it harder to understand why their mind won't 'shut off', or why things suddenly feel like too much. You might be wondering: Why can't I stop overthinking? Is this anxiety, or could it be OCD? Why do I feel so exhausted even though I'm functioning?"

I work with short-term clients seeking support during brief life transitions such as career, relationship changes, quarter-life and mid-life crises, and burnout prevention.
Are you a high-achieving professional struggling to cope with anxiety? Do you feel overwhelmed by your responsibilities? Despite the successes, a part of you continues to worry about the next thing. To others you might look like you’re doing well, but on the inside you’re struggling. Perhaps you’ve even tried thinking more positively but nothing changes. That persistent stuck feeling is making it hard to relax. It might even feel like your relationships are beginning to suffer. As a former lawyer, I have felt similar pressures.

As a second- career therapist, I focus on helping adults who feel stuck in patterns shaped by trauma, anxiety, ADHD, burnout, and complex family or identity issues.
New May 2026: Do you feel like you're stuck in fight-or-flight: your heart pounds getting a simple text, you analyze every pause in conversation, reread emails 12 times before hitting send, or procraste until the last second because pressure is the only thing that makes your brain kick in? Then you hold yourself together all day then crash at night with spiraling thoughts, emotional overwhelm, or the familiar shame of asking yourself “Why can’t I just be normal for once?” You're doing all the right things - you’re self-aware, driven, responsible, but you’re still exhausted by the same loops: anxiety, shutdowns, and emotional swings

I believe that healing occurs in relationships, whether these be with ourselves, our communities, or the systems we occupy. My goal is to co-create a therapeutic space that honours your lived experience and equips you to live a life that feels aligned with your values. Getting to explore different perspectives is part of why I do this work. When I’m not asking clients how they feel, I immerse myself in different POVs by reading YA fantasy and writing cultural analyses. I also enjoy running outdoors in the company of friends (or a carefully curated playlist).

Career Guidance Counsellors
How do I know if I need career counselling?
Determining whether a career counsellor is needed involves assessing one's current career and identifying what changes can be made to improve one's overall quality of life. In particular, feelings of loss of motivation, fatigue, anxiety, depression, procrastination, or ongoing levels of high stress can all be indicative of a need for career-related counselling. In addition, individuals changing jobs may want the decision-making support or self-reflection opportunities provided by a career counsellor.

Who can benefit from career counselling?
Anyone can benefit from the self-reflection, skill development, and stress management techniques that career counselling can provide. However, individuals who are feeling overwhelmed or burnt out with their current job and individuals considering a major career change may particularly benefit from career counselling to improve their wellbeing. Additionally, individuals who are facing issues in their current job, such as coworker relationship challenges or not meeting performance goals, may benefit from the perspective that a career counsellor can provide. College-age or young professionals may also uniquely benefit from career counselling as they make key decisions surrounding education and job training that will impact their career trajectory.

How long does career counselling typically last?
The length of career counselling can vary greatly depending on the needs of the individual and what type of support they are seeking Career coaching or advising services—which serve clients in a specific, goal-oriented capacity—often last for a shorter duration and are sometimes only a single session or a few sessions in length. In contrast, career counselling as part of a more integrative therapeutic relationship with a counsellor may last longer, particularly if the issues faced by the client are longstanding and/or more complex in nature; in such cases, individuals may expect therapy to last multiple months or longer.

How to prepare for career counselling?
Clients can prepare for career counselling sessions by outlining the specific topics they would like to address with the counsellor, such as current job challenges or hopes for the future of their career. Compiling one's thoughts on such topics often requires reflection on one's career and future goals, which in itself can be beneficial for session preparation. Clients may also want to put together a list of questions they would like to ask the counsellor, particularly if the career counsellor they are seeing has particular expertise in a given career area. Conducting research into potential future jobs, training opportunities, or support resources in one's area may also help clients prepare for career counselling by providing them with a background of what resources are available in their area.
