My ideal clients are thoughtful, capable adults who find themselves feeling stuck in patterns they can’t quite shift. Many are high-functioning in their daily lives but internally feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about their direction. They are often people who have spent years adapting to the needs of others—within relationships, families, or work—and are beginning to recognize the cost of that pattern. Clients typically come to my practice because something no longer feels sustainable. This may show up as anxiety, emotional exhaustion, difficulty setting boundaries, or a growing sense that they have lost touch with

My trainings include somatic therapies based on polyvagal theory, parts work and internal family systems, emotionally focused therapy, solution focused therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, and other client-centered approaches.
Life can quickly become so busy that everyday interactions become overwhelming obstacles, impacting your life in ways you may not even realize. I aim to create a safe, non judgemental space where you can explore your experiences and get support while improving self-compassion. I also support your ability to tune into the present, exploring your felt senses as messages that your body is communicating to you. When we develop the right skills and ability to acknowledge our emotions, what once felt overwhelming can become manageable.

Using EMDR, somatic therapy, IFS, and narrative-cognitive.
My approach is warm, relational, and integrative. I draw from various forms of therapy as I recognize healing isn’t a one-size fits all approach, your experiences, values, and goals are unique, and our work together will reflect that. I integrate a range of modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, EMDR and narrative therapy.

The Centre for Psychodynamic Insights is a virtual clinic specializing in psychodynamic psychotherapy. This approach explores the root causes of symptoms by uncovering and understanding underlying emotions through evidence-based treatment. Through collaborative dialogue, we examine unconscious thoughts and emotions shaped from childhood to the present. We work to relieve symptoms by understanding how these patterns affect current experiences, and create targeted strategies for meaningful change long-term.

Updated May 2026: Are you between 18-30, highly sensitive, child of immigrant parents, who is doing all the things you're "supposed to" do, but feel like it's never good enough? No matter how hard you try, the people closest to you are never satisfied. The pressure is insane, and you're so incredibly exhausted. You wonder if there's something wrong with you, or maybe this is depression? Is this amount of anxiety normal? You feel like you can't even talk about it - the stigma is so real, but you just know that those closest to you wouldn't understand and might even make it worse. And - you feel guilty even thinking that way. Sigh.

I use an integrative approach, with a blend of modalities like CBT, ACT, DBT Psychodynamic approach, Narrative therapy, Somatic techniques, IFS, EFT, Gottman, and trauma informed approaches.
You’re holding a lot. You don’t have to hold it alone anymore. If you’re here, chances are you’re tired of surviving and ready to start living differently. I work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship strain, emotional overwhelm, and the quiet inner voice that says, “I’m not enough.” Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but internally exhausted - caregivers, professionals, parents, peacemakers - people who carry responsibility well but struggle to extend that same compassion to themselves.

I offer a holistic, trauma-informed approach to therapy and clinical supervision, blending evidence-based practices like CBT and EFT with tools that go beyond talk therapy, including somatic psychotherapy, mindfulness, and yoga-based therapy.
It’s hard to pour from an empty cup, yet so many of us try—whether navigating the emotional weight of motherhood and fertility struggles, carrying the lingering pain of childhood or relationship trauma, or facing burnout as an educator or healthcare professional. You might feel stretched thin, stuck in patterns of overwhelm, or disconnected from your own needs, unsure where to begin. In therapy, I offer a warm, compassionate space to process these challenges, strengthen your boundaries, rediscover balance, and a deeper sense of resilience... so that you can choose a lifestyle that nurtures both you and your relationships.

I aim to support those who identify as highly sensitive, who may be experiencing anxiety and low self-esteem, and individuals who struggle with expressing their emotions in effective and healthy ways. I’m committed to helping clients to better understand themselves and their needs, and hope to support parents to better understand and communicate with their children. For young adults who find themselves in a place of readiness and transition, or within life changes, I aim to offer a supportive and non-judgmental space in an effort to help clients navigate changes, development, burgeoning adulthood, as well as grief and loss.

Integrating Somatic Experiencing with parts work, attachment, and DBT, I will support you to understand your trauma symptoms and learn new strategies for self-regulation.
Have you tried therapy before for your trauma (PTSD) and while you found the insights helpful, it still feels as though there is a missing piece in your healing journey? Do you suspect your trauma experience(s) may be impacting your sexual expression - like having low desire, dissociating during intimacy, or struggling to enjoy pleasure? Do you experience things like anxiety or have panic attacks, or have you been diagnosed with BPD or DID and you know these are a result of your trauma experience? Are you looking for someone who you can talk to about these things who really gets it and isn't going to shame you?

My areas of therapeutic interest involve Trauma-Informed and Attachment-Focused psychotherapy. I am available to work with teens (16+), and adults who are managing grief and loss, anxiety, stress, depression, and life transitions. I achieved an undergraduate degree in History and Literature and work well with "creatives" who find themselves leaning into a greater awareness of themselves and are reflecting on their lives, searching for meaning and ways of naming where they are now. I am conscious of holding space for folks as they process and unpack their experiences, incorporating a stance of curiosity and non-judgment.

Ever wonder, “Is this really my life?” From the outside, things might look fine. You're functioning, taking care of others, pushing through. But inside, you’re exhausted. Burnt out. Over-thinking everything. Slowly losing yourself in a relationship, a life, or a version of yourself you barely recognize. Maybe you're feeling stuck, disconnected, or weighed down with guilt or confusion. When a relationship causes more pain than peace, it can make you question your reality, your worth & your ability to trust yourself. I understand how overwhelming and messy this can feel both professionally and personally.

Somatic Counsellors
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
