I draw from Somatic Therapy, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to support healing in a way that feels grounded and meaningful.
You are courageous for being here! Becoming a parent is a dream held deeply by many—but sometimes, that dream doesn’t unfold as expected. You may find yourself struggling with uncertainty, facing the heartbreak of pregnancy loss, or carrying quiet waves of grief and isolation. If this is your story, please know you are not alone. At Cadeau Counselling, we understand the complexity of emotions that come with longing, loss, and hope—because we’ve walked this road ourselves.

Sometimes, feelings of depression, anxiety, anger, resentment, worthlessness and isolation can persist and make us feel stuck or hopeless. It can feel like being on a hamster wheel – repeating the same unproductive patterns or harmful behaviours. Therapy can help with emotional processing and connect us with our inner world. It makes room for the difficult emotions and experiences that need our attention and greater understanding. Through deeper awareness, we can then explore new perspectives and solutions and a clearer way forward to a better quality of life.

During each session, clients can expect a supportive, private environment where they're free to explore thoughts, feelings, and relational dynamics where our therapists tailor tools and strategies (e.g. CBT, DBT, IFS, narrative, somatic, mindfulness) to fit client goals and pace in a culturally-informed, relational way.
Most of our clients look like they have it together. Managing careers, relationships, and a life that looks functional from the outside. But something's shifted. Burnout that used to be manageable isn't anymore. Anxiety that's quiet enough to ignore most days, but loud enough to affect the people they care about. A major transition that feels heavier than they expected. They come to us because they're tired of carrying it alone, and they're ready to figure out what's actually going on. Our team listens, asks the right questions, and works with you from where you are

My practice integrates attachment and somatic-based work.
Do you feel lost in your life? Do you struggle with uncertainty or change? Are you feeling overwhelmed, trapped, or alone? Do you find it hard to be yourself in relationships? Perhaps you're dealing with boundary challenges or a diminished sense of self-worth? Have you been feeling disconnected from yourself and your body? Do you find yourself constantly over-functioning or downplaying your feelings? If any of these are familiar to you, I’m here to support you. It is possible to overcome these challenges and reclaim a sense of agency. You deserve to prioritize your well-being, and therapy can be a helpful step towards healing.

Drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, art and music therapy, and strength-based practices, I tailor our work to suit your unique goals, personality, and pace.
I’m Zachary Gelmon, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). For the past three years, I’ve worked with adults across Ontario navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, sex & porn addiction, and personal growth. Since co-facilitating a men’s circle in 2023, I’ve developed a passion for helping men find space to be honest, expressive, and imperfect. The aim of my practice is to help men show up in the world and in their relationships with greater connection to love, courage, compassion, and awareness.

Drawing on EFT, attachment-based therapy, Inner Child Work, and somatic approaches, I help clients gently untangle the patterns that confine them.
There's a version of strength that can become more like a cage. One we built ourselves, piece by piece, for reasons that made sense at the time. And so we hold ourselves together, and we manage and we cope. We might even do such a good job of it that we build a pretty life. And yet somewhere inside it, the very strength that built that life keeps us from truly living it. What held us together starts to hold us back - from connection, from being known, from being held rather than always doing the holding.

Are you a highly-sensitive, Type A, overachieving human with a tendency to people please, who has a difficult relationship with your parents, who appears to have it all together but inside is feeling anxious and burned out? You know you need to relax and do some self-care, but nothing seems to help. And you've tried things like self-help books, meditation, going to the gym, talking to friends - but nothing seems to work for long. You have felt this way for a while and are not only ready, but are fully committed to finding the root of your challenges, and making a real sustainable change

Some difficulties are quick to arise and be resolved, other problems can persist for quite some time. You have probably tried to resolve your situation by yourself or with the help of family or friends. Often that is enough and life goes on. But some mental health issues are trickier to resolve and professional help can be useful. I've seen many individuals meet their goals through hard work and guidance and I'm happy to offer my services to you as well. I welcome individuals of all cultures, communities and identities. I fluently speak English and French.
