Do you feel like you’re always on edge — stuck in fight, flight, or just completely shut down? Are your emotions running the show, leaving you feeling exhausted or overwhelmed? Hi, I’m Rachelle — the therapist behind OPS, an online therapy practice where healing looks a little different. I help people who’ve been through hard things find steadiness again by working with the nervous system, not just the mind.
If traditional talk therapy felt like it only scratched the surface for you, you're not alone. Many of my clients tell me the missing piece was learning how to listen to their bodies — where the real stories and healing live.

” I believe that our faith and/or spirituality play an important role in helping us find meaning and purpose while navigating loss, pain, and the struggles we face in life.
My third culture kid (TCK) upbringing nurtured in me an interest in cross-cultural dialogue and interfaith work, and I eventually became passionate about peacebuilding. I facilitated cross-cultural dialogue among university students from different countries and worked with unaccompanied refugee youth from various African countries. This has equipped me with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds. Inner peace is essential for peaceful relationships with others, and I learned this after witnessing the trauma of the revolution and its aftermath.

Emotional and psychological support for issues involving depression, anxiety, grief, addiction, relationship issues, self-improvement, are some of the stressors I work with.
For over a decade I have supported those suffering a wide range of life changing experiences. I primarily use CBT, which is goal oriented for problem solving; Mindfulness, which incorporates meditation and is "present" oriented; and EFT which is based in the belief that we construct ourselves through our emotions; I am also Palliative Care trained.

My focus is on working with grief and loss, anxiety and stress, feeling bad about ourselves or our past, and difficult childhoods that impact present life.
Hard times can come out of nowhere and turn our world upside down; sometimes, they sneak up slowly and quietly until unavoidable. Pain, fear, and struggles are inevitable, no matter who or where we are in life. Anyone can feel lonely and overwhelmed, and seeking a therapist can be very beneficial. Someone with the knowledge and experience to help you open up and see things differently will set the stage for recovery, healing, and growth. Regardless of what we go through, our wisdom and goodness are absolute and accessible. We all need a hand sometimes.

Grief Counsellors
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.
When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.
Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.
What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
