In today's world, time goes by faster than ever and we are often left feeling overwhelmed and paralyzed by how busy our lives have become. Suddenly, our lives become mundane and we feel unhappy, finding ourselves dreaming of a more meaningful and purposeful life. Along with this often comes anxiety, depression and stress. My passion & intention is to empower you to create a more fulfilling life by building self-awareness, teaching you effective coping skills & guiding you through difficult life changes. I also strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment that allows healing to unfold naturally.

Hey! I’m Patricia - a psychotherapist who often supports the people who are used to holding it all together for others while they quietly run on empty. Maybe you’ve been carrying so much for so long that you’re not even sure where to begin. You might be stuck in an endless loop of overthinking or people-pleasing that’s leaving you feeling more anxious, angry, or sad than ever. Perhaps recent life transitions, health or relationship challenges, or identity questions stir up emotions that feel too big to manage or understand on your own. Part of you wants to open up, and part of you isn’t sure what to say, or if therapy could help.

Have you been through therapy before, but still feel stuck? You’ve done the work, asked yourself the hard questions yet things aren’t clicking. Anxiety, stress, or self-doubt keep creeping back in, and you’re tired of feeling like you’re running in circles. You’re motivated to make real changes and finally feel better, but you’re not sure how to get there. That’s where I come in. My specialty is helping motivated clients who’ve tried therapy before but need that extra push to break through and start living with more confidence and ease.

Our therapists often hear from clients who say, "I'm aware of what I need to do, but I struggle to take action." This sentiment may resonate with you. It's normal to feel unsure and anxious during times of crisis, family conflict, relationship issues, or any significant life changes. However, if these emotions hinder your progress, ignoring them won't make them go away. It's crucial to acknowledge your fears, pinpoint their origins, and take proactive steps to overcome them for your well-being.

I understand how exhausting it can be when your nervous system is on high alert, leaving you in a state of survival rather than ease. This not only disrupts our relating with others, but also how we feel about ourselves internally. I integrate body-based practices and experiential methods like EMDR, and skill based approaches like ACT, DBT and CBT to help you process difficult emotions and create space for new patterns of connection, confidence, and clarity. I also offer the Gottman Method approach to couples therapy, to get your relationship out of a holding pattern of stuckness, and moving toward harmony together.

If you’ve struggled with substance use, you may have encountered a lot of certainty about what you should do,and very little curiosity about why you use in the first place. You may have been told that abstinence, or willpower are the goals, even when those approaches left you feeling worse: more anxious, depressed, disconnected, or ashamed. I offer trauma-informed psychotherapy for adults with substance use concerns, grounded in harm reduction, curiosity, and respect for autonomy. Rather than starting with the assumption that substance use is the problem, we explore what it has been doing for you,and what might lie underneath

History of Trauma? You understand the source of your emotions but unable to move past them. You might think, “I understand it, but I don’t feel it.” Understanding the wound isn’t the same as healing it. If you’re feeling fragmented, overwhelmed, facing difficult relationships, work stress, or carrying unresolved trauma, you’re not alone. Together, we can work toward building a stronger, more cohesive sense of self while gently processing the effects of trauma, including PTSD, attachment injuries, and relational wounds. I aim to create a safe, supportive space where you can reconnect with your authenticity.

You may notice yourself stuck in familiar dynamics; overgiving, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, or difficulty setting boundaries, even though you’re thoughtful, self-aware, and capable in many areas of your life. Often these patterns make sense in the context of earlier experiences and attachment needs that never had space to be fully understood or felt.

You’ve carried a heavy load for a long time—holding it together, pushing through pain, staying strong even when you feel like you’re falling apart inside. No matter what you do, it never feels “enough.” You second-guess yourself, replay conversations in your head, and sometimes wonder if you’re the problem. The people around you might not even notice how much you’re struggling because you’ve become so good at hiding it. Inside, though, it feels heavy—like you’re stuck in a loop of self-criticism, sadness, or emptiness that you just can’t shake.

As a Clinical Traumatologist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and IFS Therapist, I offer a grounded, co-regulating presence within an attuned, evidence-based practice that supports coherence and self-regulation.
Alongside my private practice, I serve as an emergency crisis clinician, while my doctoral research explores how those shaped by intergenerational trauma may experience emergent embodied coherence within improvisation, intentional unknowing, and negative capability.

I draw from evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, somatic practices, and parts work to support both insight and lasting change.
You're managing ADHD, anxiety or depression while the world expects you to keep performing. You're drowning in responsibilities, racing thoughts, and a nervous system that won't settle. You want to stop surviving & start living, to wake up without dread, set boundaries without guilt, and trust yourself again. You're seeking more than coping strategies; you want sustainable change. You need someone who understands that "just relax" isn't helpful, that your brain works differently, and that healing isn't linear. You're ready to build resilience, regulate your emotions, and rediscover the truest version of yourself.

Somatic Counsellors
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
