We'll name what gaslighting and narcissistic patterns actually look like, work through the guilt and self-doubt they leave behind, and reconnect you with what you know to be true.
You've started keeping notes, just so you can check your own memory later. You apologise for things you're not even sure you did, and you second-guess what you saw and heard. From the outside the relationship looks fine, which is part of what makes it so hard to explain to anyone. When someone rewrites what happened often enough, you start to lose trust in your own read on things. If you're beginning to wonder whether what you've been living with has a name, you're not imagining it, and you're not too sensitive.

My work is informed not only by clinical training, but also by lived experience. I am an immigrant and a survivor of war, and I have engaged extensively in my own trauma-focused therapeutic work. This dual perspective allows me to understand, with depth and discernment, the psychological impact of conflict, displacement, and prolonged survival states. Many individuals I work with are highly capable and resilient—often strong, responsible, and outwardly composed—yet internally burdened by unresolved trauma, emotional fatigue, or entrenched relational patterns shaped by survival.

Thirteen years with narcissistic and emotionally immature family systems — scapegoated adults, and the couples and families repeating it a generation later.
I work from Bowen family systems, IFS, Jungian depth psychology, and nervous-system-informed practice. We map the system you actually grew up inside, then practise living differently inside it. Together we map the system you actually grew up inside: the triangles, the roles that were assigned rather than chosen, what got handed down before you arrived.

These patterns are often described as emotional immaturity or narcissistic dynamics, but we focus on what’s happening underneath and how they affect relationships and the people we care about.
Are you trying to be a good partner or father—but finding yourself shutting down, getting defensive, or repeating patterns you regret? Maybe conversations escalate quickly, you withdraw when things get emotional, or it feels like you’re walking on eggshells trying to avoid conflict. You may have been told you’re hard to talk to or emotionally unavailable. Part of you feels frustrated, blamed, or misunderstood—while another part knows something isn’t working. You don’t want to keep hurting the people you care about or lose your relationship—but you’re not sure how to change what’s happening.

I also support first responders and women navigating high-conflict relationships, separation, or narcissistic relationship dynamics.
I integrate EMDR, Somatic Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help women heal the effects of chronic stress and trauma. Many clients appear high-functioning but feel overwhelmed or stuck in survival mode. This work supports nervous system healing that talk therapy alone often can’t reach.

Borderline, Narcissistic, and Avoidant Personality Disorders (BPD, NPD, and APD), complex trauma, autism, and undiagnosed ADHD can lead to insomnia, addictions, anger issues, major depression, and crippling social anxiety.
You're doing your best. Despite the brave front, you're wondering if anyone really sees you, hears you, or understands you. In moments of deep honesty, you admit to yourself that you've been feeling this way for a long, long time. A friend of yours, a family member, maybe even your partner has told you that "You could use some help." You've googled your symptoms and downloaded apps, but you're really not sure what's going on with you. You've even tried therapy before, but it only seemed to scratch the surface. You're not alone, believe me: you sound like most of my clients.

I help adults recover from narcissistic abuse, coercive control, and emotional abuse, whether it came from a partner, a parent, or someone else close to you.
If you've left, or are still in, a relationship with someone who twisted your reality, you might be questioning whether it was really that bad, replaying conversations to figure out what you did wrong, or feeling anxious, foggy, and unsure you can trust your own judgment anymore. Maybe the control was quiet: guilt, the silent treatment, walking on eggshells, so from the outside no one can see it. You're not too sensitive and you're not crazy. What happened to you has a name, and the confusion, self-doubt, and exhaustion you're carrying make complete sense.

Narcissistic Personality (NPD) Counsellors
What type of therapy is best for narcissistic personality disorder?
Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is best treated with talk therapy, which could involve cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, schema therapy, gestalt therapy, or similar approaches. A therapist will help a patient uncover the feelings that may drive their behavior and discover how to engage with themselves and those around them with greater empathy and understanding, fewer demands, and less defensiveness, with the goal of developing a more authentic sense of self that enables healthier relationships.

How do therapists treat NPD?
By developing a strong therapeutic relationship, and continually focusing patients on relationships, community, and connection, a therapist, through talk therapy, may be able to help someone with NPD change. In sessions, a therapist will help an individual achieve relief from their current stressors, including the treatment of co-occurring conditions such as anxiety or depression. A therapist may also help an individual to recognize unhealthy coping mechanisms, learn new ways of interacting with others, and eventually become able to feel and display empathy.

Can a narcissist be cured with therapy?
Therapy can be effective. After a serious setback or great loss, someone with NPD may be forced to recognize that they are not immune to life’s challenges. That can spur feelings of melancholy and depression that lead them to seek professional help. Once an individual decides to seek help, they have already taken a step that the majority of those with NPD never will. Still, people with NPD often quit therapy as they naturally resist feeling vulnerable, being challenged, or admitting to flaws.

How can you get narcissistic personality disorder treatment for someone?
It is notoriously difficult to convince someone with NPD to seek help. With their feelings of superiority, they may be unlikely to recognize or acknowledge that they have a problem, or that their problem is narcissism. Sometimes, they are aware that they are arrogant and that others resent them but they don’t see it as a problem because they are convinced of their superiority. People with NPD have trouble maintaining relationships, but family members and others who do feel close to them, and whose presence they value, may be able to encourage them to seek therapy.
