I support high-achieving individuals who want to feel more focused, grounded, and emotionally steady in work and life. Many come feeling overwhelmed, burned out, anxious, low in mood, or impacted by trauma-related experiences including PTSD or life transitions. Often, they appear successful outwardly but feel stuck or under pressure internally. In our work, we identify unhelpful patterns and build practical evidence based strategies to restore clarity, confidence, and motivation. I use SFBT,ACT and CBT. I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and practice under clinical supervision.

I work with Teenagers and Adults facing a variety of struggles, such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and trauma, childhood trauma being a particular specialty.
I approach therapy from an eclectic approach, drawing from several theoretical orientations and approaches to best fit the needs of each client. I use a trauma-informed lens to best support the needs of a wide variety of individuals. I recognize the importance of a past and present approach, exploring the past and how it affects the present, and the importance of adaptations made by them throughout development. I believe that each client is the expert in their own lives, thus they take the role as a passenger and GPS, guiding when necessary, listening and being present always.

Hey! I’m Patricia - a psychotherapist who often supports the people who are used to holding it all together for others while they quietly run on empty. You might be the person everyone turns to for support, the over-thinker whose brain never seems to switch off, or someone navigating difficult life transitions, relationship challenges, health concerns, or questions about who you are and where you're headed. Maybe you've spent so much time taking care of everyone else that you've lost touch with what you need. Part of you wants to open up, and part of you isn’t sure what to say, or if therapy could help.

I have over 15 years of experience helping adults, teens and families in crisis.
Have you been through therapy before, but still feel stuck? You’ve done the work, asked yourself the hard questions yet things aren’t clicking. Anxiety, stress, or self-doubt keep creeping back in, and you’re tired of feeling like you’re running in circles. You’re motivated to make real changes and finally feel better, but you’re not sure how to get there. That’s where I come in. My specialty is helping motivated clients who’ve tried therapy before but need that extra push to break through and start living with more confidence and ease.

I help individuals and couples break unhelpful patterns and feel more secure, confident, and connected in themselves and their relationships. If you’re stuck in the same arguments, questioning your relationship, or feeling emotionally distant even though you care deeply, you’re not alone.
You might be dealing with resentment, fights that never get resolved, relationship anxiety, baggage from past relationships, or feeling overwhelmed and unsure how to move forward. From the outside, things may look “fine,” but inside, it feels heavy and exhausting.

I have over 12 years of experience working with teens and young adults navigating through emotional challenges.
Some of what you carry was handed to you: the anxiety, the silence, the need to hold everything together. Therapy is where you get to decide what you keep and what ends with you. Maybe you grew up in a home where emotions were not safe to express, or where you had to become an adult long before you were ready. Now the old patterns keep showing up, in your relationships, your work, the way you speak to yourself, and no amount of doing everything right seems to quiet them. You do not need the perfect words to start. You just need a space where the whole story is finally allowed.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.
How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.
How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.
How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
