Together we will create somatic, humanistic, body-wise frameworks to support your unique needs in wholesome and holistically integrative ways. My deepest desire as a therapist is to teach/transfer to you real tools and techniques that can create feelings of spaciousness in your breath, heart, headspace, and awareness, that help you create new patterns and therefore, new experiences you might be looking for. My practice is queer and sex work affirmative.

Living in a rural community, I have learned to be adaptive in my approach to psychotherapy. I work with couples and individuals, varying in age from 12 onward, across many domains. My special interests lean toward working with clients who are neurodiverse, and those who struggle in their relationship with food and body, anxiety and self-esteem. I don't think of 'wellness' as prescriptive- it must be a feeling of security and peace that we develop and hold within ourselves. That's why my philosophy of care includes setting a pace that fits your needs and helping you develop your own feelings of empowerment and self-growth.

You’ve been holding everything together for everyone—but inside, you’re running on empty. Maybe you’re snapping more than you want to, feeling distant from your partner, or worried about your teen pulling away. You just want things to feel calm again. To breathe. To connect. To stop pretending you’re fine. You’re not asking for too much—you’re asking for things to finally feel okay again. At The Relationship Centre, we help you untangle what’s happening beneath the surface, so life and relationships start to feel steady, safe, and connected again.

It is my belief that there is a story behind everything we do. While we can't change the events and circumstances from our past, with support and understanding, we can often process through them in order to heal, learn, and grow. With this insight we are better equipped to make changes in our lives that can provide us with a renewed hope for our future.

I work with women 20+ who are navigating burnout, anxiety, stress, and the lingering effects of trauma especially the kind that doesn’t look obvious on the outside. Women I support describe themselves as capable and deeply responsible. You are the ones others rely on. You've built a career, family, and a life that look successful from the outside yet internally, you feel exhausted, overwhelmed, or quietly disconnected from yourself. You may struggle with perfectionism, people-pleasing, chronic overthinking, or a harsh inner critic that never seems satisfied. Please know; you are not broken...your nervous system is protecting you.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
