They want relief, but also clarity. They want to feel steadier, more confident, and more like themselves again. Together, we can create space for reflection, self-love, growth, and meaningful change.

Are you struggling with people-pleasing? Does it feel hard or even impossible to set boundaries? Often when we experience these challenges we tend to also struggle with self-esteem, anxiety, and perfectionism. We might feel burnt out or dissatisfied, and it can be difficult to imagine things could be different. When we fall into people-pleasing patterns we often focus on what we feel is expected of us, leading to disconnection from our own wants, needs, and aspirations.

Accepting New Clients - Many of my clients are neurodivergent adults — often late-diagnosed AuDHD or ADHD — who've spent years masking, over-functioning, and pushing through in a world built for different brains. They arrive exhausted, anxious, and questioning who they are beneath the coping. Perfectionism, people-pleasing, RSD, burnout, and relationship strain show up often. Together, we slow down and explore what's underneath. I draw on Internal Family Systems, DBT, mindfulness, and Emotion-Focused Therapy, alongside years working with autistic and ADHD adults, to help you build self-trust and a life that fits how you're wired.

I work with adults and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including difficulties with emotion regulation, anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, insomnia, and eating disorders.
At the heart of my practice is a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and mutual respect. I integrate practical, evidence-based tools to build resilience and address present-day concerns, while also engaging in deeper emotional and somatic work to help process unresolved experiences often held in the body. My approach supports both immediate coping and long-term healing. In my work with couples, I help partners build secure-functioning relationships and deepen their emotional connection.

Have you been feeling disconnected from your self, body, culture, or loved ones? I work with clients who are seeking deeper self-understanding, emotional clarity, and a more embodied connection to life. Many of the people I support feel overwhelmed or out of alignment and perhaps intellectually aware of what’s wrong, but unsure how to process things in a meaningful manner for them. With a background in kinesiology, training in somatic trauma work, and a Master’s in Counselling Psychology, I help clients move through anxiety, depression, life transitions, and past traumas using both evidence-based tools and body-based awareness.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
