Your
life
reality does not match the vision you had and now you are feeling down, somewhat anxious, and maybe unsettled. You may be feeling like you want to make a move towards accomplishing your goals but you reel stuck. Your might be in conflict with family, friends, and co-workers but you are certainly in conflict with yourself. Your inner critic (the voice we all have in our heads) has an overpowering voice which is resulting in you not making a move and simply put - not feeling happy. You want more but you're not sure how to get it and you want to feel that core happiness you've heard others talk about.

Relationship Success: Couples and individuals can overcome relationship challenges and deepen the connection within yourself and to each other. Joy and happiness depends on building positive connection. It is foundational to personal and relationship fulfillment. The more we understand ourselves and the people that matter to us, the more we can live up to our full potential. I help you to find your personal truth and transform your relationships with others and yourself. When we are truly ourselves, we say yes to
life
and naturally let go of what no longer serves us.

Feeling connected with the people you love in a way that makes your heart swell and rocking
life
your way! Let me help you! We all need some help sometimes.
Feeling overwhelmed and putting heart racing pressure on yourself to be a version of you that you think you "should be" is a slippery slope that can leave you feeling depleted, irritable and full of shame. It's important to understand our emotions to know what to do with them and with a million competing demands on your brain and your time it's hard to take a breath to figure it out! The thought that we don't have it all together when it seems like everyone else has all the things figured out makes to you want to hide in your bed tucked under the blankets (even though sleep is a dream) stuck in a nasty spiral of failure.

Many people have found themselves in the exact place you now find yourself – wondering if they should seek the guidance of a professional counsellor for personal, marital or family problems. Here are some of their uncomfortable self-reflections: “Tensions always hover over my relationship with my partner.” “I want to be a better parent.” “I do not look forward to going to work anymore.” “My partner and I keep getting stuck when we try to talk about our problems.” “I want to enjoy being a parent, but often I do not.” “I want to feel happiness and gratitude for my
life
and the people in it, but I cannot get there.”

You are feeling so overwhelmed that it's hard to remember what "good" felt like. Some days you wonder if you ever actually felt good. On top of it all, there's Covid, and all these unprecedented worries, and limitations. The minor strains you felt in your
life
are suddenly exploding. Perhaps you work from home as you try to balance the needs of your family, and struggle with juggling it all. Maybe you feel angry and dread an uncertain future. Many people feel hopeless, frustrated, anxious, and stressed. You are challenged to manage enormous change with little time to process it. You feel like you are at the end of your rope.

Is your chronic illness holding you back? Please know that you are worthy of living a fulfilling
life
. You are so much more than your illness. It can be challenging to carry on day to day. People around you may not understand just how much planning it takes to simply function when you are constantly low on energy, or how much effort you put in every single day to show up for yourself and others in spite of the pain. I see you, and I am here for you.

I specialize in helping youth, young adults and parents create new chosen paths in
life

Everyone’s story matters. I believe one of the bravest things you can do is to begin the process of unpacking and understanding your own story. Perhaps your story has left you feeling ineffective, overwhelmed and insecure as a parent. Perhaps your story is just beginning and you’re struggling to figure out who you are, who you want to be and how to get there. Or perhaps your story has left you with a negative sense of self and unfulfilling relationships that seem to continually let you down.

Susan works with individuals from all walks of
life
who may embrace a range of mental health needs. She recognizes that each individual may need to seek therapy for a number of reasons, such as receiving support during tremendous transitions in
life
; to face and endure new challenges; or even to deal with the difficulties that one may encounter. Susan believes that every individual has the innate capacity to cope with the challenges that
life
offers, but it can be difficult to access these abilities from the experiences that each of us have had before.

As a psychotherapist, with a somatic and psychodynamic orientation, I seek to support people in finding greater freedom, creativity, compassion, empowerment and aliveness in their lives. I believe the antidote to emotional struggles is finding a sense of vitality. Listening, identifying and staying with one's emotional world is the key to self awareness. As a psychotherapist my greatest task is to listen with compassion, for people to speak their deeper truths and to help them find an alternative pathways in living a
life
that expresses their authenticity and how to contribute with meaning in the world.

Life
requires balance. As the famous saying goes, ‘without the bad, we wouldn’t be able to appreciate the good’. But what do we do when the scales have tipped and the bad begins to outweigh the good? This can be an intimidating and overwhelming place to be. But luckily, you are not alone. Through counselling, I can help you to take back control of your emotions, improve your coping skills, and to develop stronger, healthier relationships with those you care about most. Let me help you regain meaningful balance in your

People often seek out therapy to work on their problems when really, it's their solutions that are no longer working. Does this sound familiar? As a skilled therapist, I will partner with you to clarify what is important and help you design creative, meaningful and lasting change in your
life
. In our work together, you will notice that I am very encouraging, and I will challenge you when you look like you could use it. Together we will create a space where you can bravely experience the sometimes-uncomfortable feelings that come with personal growth.

Life Coaching Counsellors
What can I expect from life coaching?
Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.
Can a life coach help treat anxiety?
Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.
Can life coaching be done online?
Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.
How long does life coaching last?
Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
