Relationships are both wonderful and challenging. There are many times in a relationship when couple's therapy can be a beneficial, meaningful, and insightful experience. Maybe you are starting a long term commitment, you have become parents, or you are dealing with
affairs
, addictions, grief, or separation/divorce. You might want to attend therapy to preempt issues, because the road has gotten a little bumpy, or as a last ditch effort. I love supporting folks at any stage. We’ll move through what your experience is in the relationship to figure out areas that you want to work on to make your relationship flourish.

We're men who work with men to help deal with things like anger,
infidelity
, relationship issues and any other issues that men deal with.
Most of us men have been taught that we have to manage things by ourselves. To hide our feelings. Or we don't have feelings. Guess what that leads to? Anger, irritability, relationship issues, work problems, and trouble connecting with our kids, friends, and partners. Maybe drinking too much and checking out, too. Or
cheating
on our partner, because it's easier than trying to figure out what's going on at home. Maybe you don't even realize how bad things have gotten until your partner tells you that you "can't communicate", you're messing up, and now you have no idea what to do and you're defensive and confused.

I specialize in relationship challenges, family dynamics, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, life purpose, recovery from
betrayal
, injury recovery, chronic illness, speaking difficult truths, spiritual support (multi-faith), energy work, and pandemic grief and loss.
If you’re struggling with a challenge that feels confusing, heavy, or scary, or if you’re at a crossroads in life and wondering what’s next, I can help. I can tune in to the core issue, support you through the confusion, and help you develop a clear and manageable plan to move forward. The Emotion Code (TEC) can also help you feel lighter by releasing trapped emotions. TEC is the simplest, quickest, and most efficient healing method in energy psychology today. Trapped emotions can even be passed down (inherited), or trapped in utero (prenatal). The Emotion Code clears our emotional baggage without having to relive past experiences.

Many people have found themselves in the exact place you now find yourself – wondering if they should seek the guidance of a professional counsellor for personal, marital or family problems. Here are some of their uncomfortable self-reflections: “Tensions always hover over my relationship with my partner.” “I want to be a better parent.” “I do not look forward to going to work anymore.” “My partner and I keep getting stuck when we try to talk about our problems.” “I want to enjoy being a parent, but often I do not.” “I want to feel happiness and gratitude for my life and the people in it, but I cannot get there.”

The past throws stones to the present, and that is what brings many people to therapy. I believe we all have the capacity to heal, but often our own story can get in the way of that healing. If this is your first time seeking out a therapist or if you've done this before, it is my hope to work alongside you, at your pace, as collaborate to make a plan that addresses your needs. With this, it is important for you to choose a therapist who is a good fit and connects to your needs. I encourage you to explore my website and reach out to me to determine if I am that fit for you.

Are you feeling weighed down by the pain of loss or trauma? Perhaps you’re experiencing the confusion that arises when life doesn’t go as planned. Or the self-doubt that can come from choices you’ve made in the past. Along with sadness, you might feel anger or a sense of shame. As a survivor of religious trauma, I have lived experience in the process of moving from this dark and lonely place to healing and hope. Whether you find yourself questioning the beliefs you grew up with or those of a group you chose to align with, we can gently bring what makes you uncomfortable into the light of day and move towards a brighter future.

You are feeling so overwhelmed that it's hard to remember what "good" felt like. Some days you wonder if you ever actually felt good. On top of it all, there's Covid, and all these unprecedented worries, and limitations. The minor strains you felt in your life are suddenly exploding. Perhaps you work from home as you try to balance the needs of your family, and struggle with juggling it all. Maybe you feel angry and dread an uncertain future. Many people feel hopeless, frustrated, anxious, and stressed. You are challenged to manage enormous change with little time to process it. You feel like you are at the end of your rope.

I am seasoned and passionate therapist and I believe the clients have to look for the "best fit" therapist and they will be the judge of the work I do. My approach is completely through emotional intelligence, mindfulness, with care, respect, and evidence based approach, knowing that client is not broken or need to be "fixed" yet might need someone non-judgmental with compassionate heart and mind to be fully present in their space or journey.

How does therapy for infidelity work?
A skilled infidelity therapist will provide a safe space for clients to communicate their feelings and concerns. The goal is to be completely honest about what led to the cheating and how it has affected the entire family to prevent it from recurring in the future. The therapist will help the clients work on rebuilding mutual trust and respect and developing better communication and conflict-resolution skills. If the goal is to remain a couple, clients will learn the “danger signs” for their specific relationship, and they will make a renewed commitment to be faithful.
How long does therapy for infidelity take?
Recovery from infidelity can take time, and it can vary from person to person. Generally, a therapist will want to see the clients at least once a week for around six months. Then the sessions can be arranged as needed, depending on the clients’ individual needs. While therapy may end or shift to an as-needed basis, it can take up to two years or more for some clients to fully recover from infidelity.
How does therapy help the partner who was cheated on?
When a client discovers their partner’s infidelity, their trust in the relationship and in the life they had together may be shattered. They often experience mental health symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They don’t always want to stay in the relationship; they may feel ambivalent or may even want to leave. Therapy gives these clients a safe and healthy way to communicate all of their complicated emotions and concerns.
How does therapy help the partner who committed infidelity?
Infidelity often occurs when one or both partners’ emotional needs are not being met in the relationship. Therapy can help this client understand why they cheated and figure out how to address those unmet needs without resorting to infidelity in the future. This can lessen (but not entirely eliminate) the risk of repeated infidelity. Clients who cheat may also feel intense guilt about deceiving their partners, a sentiment that they can work through in therapy.
