I will support you wherever you are on the spectrum of reproduction— infertility, miscarriage, pregnancy, birth trauma, pregnancy after loss, postpartum and motherhood.
As a former doula turned therapist, I have spent the last decade supporting women through these vulnerable life stages, and I know they can be deeply challenging and isolating. Mental health often takes a toll, and life can feel overwhelming. I want you to know that you are not alone.

You’re exhausted. From waiting. Overthinking. From pretending you're okay. Carrying more than you let anyone see. Smiling on the outside while inside you hold anxiety, heartbreak, and questions that don’t have clear answers or direction. Uncertainty can leave you feeling isolated and unsure of what comes next. Some days it feels like no matter how much hope you gather, you’re stuck in the same cycle, longing, loss, and disappointment that never fully gets the chance to heal. The pressure to keep going, to stay positive, to hold it all together through appointments, conversations, and everyday life can be overwhelming.

Many people begin trauma therapy when anxiety, stress, or painful memories start affecting their daily life and relationships. You may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that make it difficult to feel calm or confident. Some clients carry the weight of past trauma, grief, or life transitions that leave them feeling lost or emotionally exhausted. What many people want most is a sense of peace, stability, and the ability to reconnect with themselves and the people who matter most. You don’t have to carry this alone.

Life can be hard. We're here to help. Struggling? Stuck? Overwhelmed? Looking for help moving forward? We can support you in moving toward your goals. We have experience in providing both brief and longer-term treatment that is evidence-based (i.e., shown to work). We're less interested in labels or in figuring out what’s “broken”, and instead focus on helping you to feel centred and "on track". We try to help you within your timeframe. We see the psychologist and client both as “real people”, having “real” conversations, about “real life”, to make real changes and real movement toward goals that are really important to you.

I see my role in therapy as being your ally in helping to identify and overcome challenges. I will work with you to recognize and foster personal and interpersonal strengths and learn new strategies to help you manage problems more effectively. We will focus on changing both behaviour and thinking patterns that are no longer helpful and adaptive, while at the same time working on accepting what cannot be changed. We will take a "whole person" approach that is focused on optimizing health, reducing stress, and increasing engagement in what brings you joy and fulfillment.

My practice also includes overcoming childhood experiences, and processing grief related to trauma, infertility, chronic illness, death and dying.
Accepting new clients starting in May/June. First 30-minute session is free! Do you need help improving your depression and anxiety symptoms? Maybe you feel down and overwhelmed, unsure how to get unstuck. You don't feel like yourself and feel overwhelmed by everything. The cliche self-care (bubble baths, journaling, cups of tea) aren't working for you. Do you use social media or avoidance to cope with these feelings but they leave you more depressed, anxious, overwhelmed, and overstimulated? As someone who understands how you feel, having experienced this myself before, I am here to help.

Those “little misses” in communication with your partner have added up. You’re both fed up and disconnected. Maybe you just want to work on keeping the peace or opt to co-parent at a distance. Moving, becoming parents, blending families, shifting careers, stepping into caregiving roles, graduating, or navigating a new season of identity can create gaps in communication and closeness. Whatever your situation, a dedicated space for difficult conversations can be a game changer. Let's identify what’s happening underneath the pattern and build practical communication tools to rebuild, in whatever way makes sense for you.

You are feeling so overwhelmed that it's hard to remember what "good" felt like. Some days you wonder if you ever actually felt good. On top of it all the pressures of everyday life haven't just disappeared and you feel stretched with not enough down time. The minor challenges you felt in your life suddenly feel insurmountable. You feel lost - maybe even angry - and dread an uncertain future. While many people feel a little down, frustrated, anxious, and stressed at times, you feel so lost that its hard to imagine that you'll ever feel like the best version of yourself ever again. You feel like you are at the end of your rope.

You may have been carrying more than most people can see for a long time. On the outside, you hold things together, but inside you might feel overwhelmed, numb, on edge, or exhausted. Trauma, anxiety, burnout, or the weight of caregiving or high-pressure roles can take a toll, especially for first responders. Others come to therapy navigating addiction, grief, or postpartum challenges. Many people begin trauma therapy when they’re ready for something to feel different. To feel steadier, more at ease, and more like themselves again. You don’t have to carry it alone.

You are struggling to adjust to parenthood, you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious and unsure. Maybe you have experienced a loss or fertility struggles, causing you to feel like giving up hope. You may find yourself quick to anger and lash out in ways you never imagined. Or perhaps your relationship is changing and you and your partner are no longer on the same page. You might feel overwhelmed with the mental load of parenting. Or experiencing stress and anxiety transitioning back to work after leave. Whether you are pregnant, postpartum or experienced parents, it can be difficult to manage the never ending demands and conflicts.

Infertility Counsellors
How can infertility affect couples and their relationship?
Clients who are dealing with infertility may experience conflict and communication problems. It’s not unusual for shame, blame, and guilt to arise in cases of infertility, whether the source of the problem is one partner or both. This means that clients are upset and pulling away from their partner just when they need them the most. Some clients may find it difficult to spend time around friends and family who are pregnant. Friends and family can also make hurtful comments that increase tension during this time.

How does therapy for infertility issues work?
The therapist will begin by gathering information about the client or couple and make a treatment plan for their specific concerns. In addition to addressing common mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma reactions or PTSD, therapists can help clients improve their decision-making and deal with stressors unique to infertility. Some examples include coping with the “two-week wait” before a pregnancy test, the distress associated with a failed attempt or miscarriage, and the shame and blame sometimes associated with reproductive concerns.

What type of therapy is best for infertility issues?
Many therapists offer psychotherapy for individuals and couples who are dealing with infertility issues. Some helpful therapeutic approaches include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which can aid clients in reframing negative thoughts about their situation. Expressive writing and art therapy can help clients process difficult feelings. Clients might also benefit from group therapy to experience support from others who are dealing with the same problems.

How long does therapy for infertility issues take?
There is no set length for therapy that addresses infertility or reproductive concerns. Some clients might find it helpful to continue therapy during their pregnancy to have healthy ways to cope with any associated stress, anxiety, depression, or trauma. Some clients who decide not to pursue fertility treatments might benefit from the support of a therapist. The duration of therapy varies depending on the individual client’s specific needs and goals.
