Whether you're navigating infidelity, working through the pain of divorce, or hoping to strengthen your relationship before marriage, therapy with me is a collaborative, supportive space.
Many couples begin therapy when communication starts breaking down and the distance between them feels impossible to ignore. You may find yourselves stuck in the same arguments, walking on eggshells, or feeling more like roommates than partners. Some couples are navigating separation, family conflict, or the impact of betrayal and unresolved hurt. What many people want most is calmer communication, renewed trust, and a way to reconnect emotionally and feel close again. Change is possible, and you don’t have to figure it out on your own.

Life can feel especially heavy when you’re carrying grief, moving through divorce, caring for others, living with chronic pain or illness, or trying to manage the pressures of work, parenting, and relationships.
Having experienced challenges such as separation and single parenting, I understand what it feels like to face uncertainty with no clear path forward. I also know the pressures of the professional world, having worked in business before becoming a therapist. These experiences inform the compassion and perspective I bring to my work.

I help women experiencing chronic stress, anxiety, burnout, and emotional overwhelm. Many appear high-functioning on the outside but feel stuck in survival mode—overthinking, people-pleasing, carrying too much responsibility, and struggling to fully relax. I also support first responders and women navigating high-conflict relationships, separation, or narcissistic relationship dynamics. Through trauma-informed therapy, we work together to heal the effects of stress and trauma, helping you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself.

Welcome. Most people arrive here carrying something they’ve held alone for a long time — a heaviness they can’t quite name, a pattern they keep repeating, or a pain that feels too old or too complicated to explain. If that’s you, you’re in the right place. You may have grown up in a family where love was inconsistent, confusing, or conditional. You may have learned to stay quiet, stay small, or stay strong because no one ever made room for your feelings. You may find yourself in relationships where you’re not met, not chosen, or not treated with the care you give so freely.

Something brought you here. Maybe it’s grief that lingers, or anxiety that’s taken over. Maybe you’re burned out, overwhelmed, or simply not feeling like you anymore. You’ve been carrying it for a while—quietly, maybe even invisibly. Something doesn’t sit right anymore, and you're ready for change. Ready for things to feel lighter, more manageable. Ready to feel like you again—or even get to know who you are now.

You’re exhausted from surviving instead of truly living, constantly battling anxiety, overwhelm, and the lasting effects of past trauma. Maybe your mind feels like it never quiets down, or your body carries a tension you can’t shake. You dream of waking up feeling calmer, lighter, and at peace, without the constant weight of stress pulling you under. You want relationships that feel supportive and safe rather than draining or confusing. Most of all, you want to feel whole again- to reconnect with the confident, authentic version of yourself that’s been buried under pain and self-doubt. Please know- the life you want is available.

Counselling can help you to develop a different relationship with the “chatter” in your head that tells you that you ”aren’t good enough” and that keeps you from daring greatly.  It can help you to look at the stories in your life that counter your shame—and give them a voice.  It can help you to acknowledge and accept loss in a compassionate manner as you would want for a friend.  It can help you to recognize your relationship with your mental health and how you interact with it.  It allows you to sort through your values and support you living in a way that aligns with what you want.  Counselling looks to support these and more.

Divorce Counsellors
How does therapy for people affected by a divorce work?
Individuals may feel a number of emotions following a divorce, such as shock, guilt, grief, anger, and fear. Therapists offer a non-judgmental space for individuals to talk about what they’ve experienced and process their emotions. Therapists will help clients develop coping strategies. They can also help a client rebuild their sense of self and self-worth and talk about what a happier future might look like.

What’s the most common type of therapy following a divorce?
There are several types of therapy that may be useful for divorce, including cognitive behavioural, acceptance and commitment, solution-focused brief, and mindfulness-based therapies. Many therapy types are talk-therapy based, which is typically the most popular option for individuals dealing with divorce. Cognitive behavioural therapy is a widely-used talk therapy, however, there’s no specific therapy type that’s designed to help people with divorce, and different types will work depending on the person.

When should an individual seek help due to a divorce?
When the feelings of a divorced individual, or an individual going through the process of divorce, begin to disrupt healthy daily functioning, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not performing at work due to problems with anxiety or motivation, if they’re no longer seeing friends due to feelings of shame, or if they’re not properly taking care of themselves as a result of depression, speaking to a professional could help.

How do you encourage someone to go to therapy due to a divorce?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the individual while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Sharing how the individual appears to be suffering, and what effects it has on them or on their children, should be done with compassion and empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
