My approach is grounded in respect, collaboration, and genuine curiosity about your story. I believe that healing unfolds most naturally when you feel safe, understood, and free from judgment. Many people come to therapy carrying years of unspoken experiences—moments they minimized, memories they pushed aside, or emotions they learned to manage alone. These layers often shape how you think, feel, and respond to the world, sometimes in ways that no longer align with who you want to be. Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and begin to understand these patterns with clarity and compassion.

Available as early as this week! I specialize in working with healthcare professionals and individuals living with trauma and PTSD. I understand that trauma doesn’t always come from a single event- it can come from repeated exposure, high responsibility, moral injury, or years of being the support for everyone around you. Before entering private practice, I worked extensively in hospital and clinical settings, which gave me firsthand insight into the realities of healthcare work: long shifts, constant vigilance, emotional containment, and the expectation to function no matter what you’re carrying internally.

HELLO and WELCOME. I am here to listen to your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I will also introduce techniques (often somatic or compassion-based) to reduce stress and anxiety, build confidence, shift self-criticism to self-compassion, and soothe your autonomic nervous system. Clients report feeling "understood", "hopeful", and "calm" after the first session.

I hold a specialized degree in Thanatology, the study of death, loss, grief, and bereavement. Over time, I’ve come to understand that grief extends far beyond the loss of a loved one—it can emerge through life transitions, identity shifts, relationship changes, and the countless moments that challenge our sense of stability and self.
My practice is rooted in compassion, connection, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story. I use a holistic, trauma-informed approach integrating the mind, body, and soul. I believe that growth and transformation occur when we feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Attachment-based Counsellors
Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?
Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.
What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?
Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.
How long does attachment-based therapy last?
Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.
Does attachment-based therapy work?
Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
