Anger, irritability, relationship issues, work problems, and trouble connecting with our kids, friends, and partners.
Being a man doesn't mean "sucking it up" and shutting down. Or ignoring things and hoping they go away. Or doing it all alone. We're therapists who work with men to help deal with things like anger, infidelity, relationship issues and any other issues that men deal with. You're not alone. All you have to do is show up and we'll figure things out together.

My work helps people connect with the parts of themselves that enable them to outgrow their problems. This process unfolds through deeper engagement with dreams, stories, conversations, and the imagination. I work with adults who feel stuck in their professional, emotional, or spiritual development and want to examine the patterns that limit their capacity for love, success, and creativity. My approach is grounded in the tradition of Analytical Psychology developed by Carl Jung, Marie-Louis von Franz, James Hillman, and Wolfgang Giegerich.

I am also specialized in working with clients suffering with anger management issues.
I am also specialized in providing counselling for the "non-offending parent" (counselling for the spouse of the person who has been charged with a sexual based offence). It has been my privilege to help these clients navigate the range of emotions that come as a result of their spouses behaviours. Some chose to remain in their relationship, others don't.

In a world that is becoming increasingly complicated every day, therapy is a safe space away from the pressures of daily life where you can explore your concerns without judgement. My aim as a therapist is to create an environment where I can support you in exploring what is bothering you and we can work as a team to find solutions that are tailored to your unique story and circumstances. I draw from a range of therapies but my main guiding principles come from a strengths-based perspective. I believe above all that YOU are the expert in your own life and that I am merely here to help you on your road to self-actualization.

Our life's story is about honouring where we are, or where we are not, yet - holding space for all of this. When we meet ourselves where we are at, we can start to make sense of what feels big or messy, and begin to make small steps toward steps that feel scary on our own. It’s ok to not feel ok, to ask for help, to need validation. It starts with one step at a time.

Empowering you to navigate life’s challenges. Relationship dynamics can feel overwhelming—especially during grief, conflict, or major life transitions. Whether you're coping with the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or changes within an existing one, it’s normal to need support while adjusting. I work with individuals and couples to process these shifts. I often see partners grow in communication and alignment. Many people get stuck analyzing issues without knowing how or when to have meaningful conversations that foster deeper understanding and connection.

Anger Management Counsellors
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
