If you’re looking for a supportive space to slow down, reconnect, and explore the things that may feel difficult to put into words, art therapy can offer you a gentle path forward. Through creative expression, you can allow your inner experiences to be communicated and explored, especially in moments when spoken language feels limiting or restrictive.

Hi, I’m Natasha, and I help overwhelmed, anxious, and self-critical kids (ages 4+) and teens feel more confident, calm, and emotionally in control. Many of the kids I work with are sensitive, caring, and trying hard—but inside, they’re battling big feelings like anxiety, low self-esteem, or sadness they don’t always understand or know how to express.
Whether your child is people-pleasing to avoid conflict, melting down from small frustrations, or doubting their worth daily—I’m here to help.

NEW June 2026: You're a deep feeler, an empath, who wonders if (or knows) you're neurodivergent. You have been told you're "too sensitive" and should "learn to chil" your entire life. You absorb other people's emotions, but feel alone and confused about yours. Your brain jumps from hyperfocus to worry while you feel lonely inside. You long for connection, but feel exhausted by people. Your relationship with your parents (often mom) is complex, feeling like a wound that never heals. You hide it well, and when people ask what's wrong you say "nothing", because you know they won't understand and you'll just end up feeling even worse.

Hi there, I'm Kristin. I offer a steady, structured space to think clearly when life starts to feel heavy or unmanageable. Sometimes that's a specific moment through a separation, a leave from work, a loss, or a relationship that's reached a breaking point. Sometimes it's more gradual and looks like fatigue that lingers despite rest, a career that feels stuck, or a sense that something is off but hard to name. The situation may not look dramatic from the outside, but internally it seems unsettled or unresolved.

You may look capable and high-functioning on the outside while internally feeling lost, emotionally exhausted, hypervigilant, disconnected from yourself, uncertain about your relationships, or overwhelmed by change.
Many of the people I work with are navigating periods of deep transition or chronic tension: grief and loss, burnout, relationship changes, identity shifts, existential questioning, emotional overwhelm or dysregulation, shutdown, attachment wounding, trauma symptoms, or the quiet realization that the life they built no longer feels sustainable or full alive.

I work with a variety of clients, though creative & highly sensitive people often find me. I work in an intuitve and neuroscience-based way; brain education is part of my work. Empaths who've experienced trauma or adverse conditions often feel responsible for not 'figuring out their problems' especially when they couldn't possibly have figured them out (as children, adolescents, or inside abusive relationships or religions). If you struggle with these or other internal entanglements and challenges, I'd be honoured to show you clinically sound ways to help you ways to change, untangle brain-body-spirit, and find your path forward.

Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?
Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.
What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?
Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.
How long does attachment-based therapy last?
Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.
Does attachment-based therapy work?
Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
