Feeling relaxed, energized and worry-free is a day-to-day struggle?
As a psychotherapist, I provide a nonjudgemental space that supports self-discovery, healing, and positive change. People start therapy for all kinds of reasons. But usually, we seek out therapy when we acknowledge the old way isn’t working. My expertise includes CBT treatment for depression, social, health, and generalized anxiety, panic attacks and PTSD.

If anxiety or intrusive thoughts are taking over your day, you’re struggling with changes or challenges and you’re exhausted from trying to manage it alone.
Here's a little about me: I am a masters level registered social worker since 2013 and have been in clinical counselling / psychotherapy roles for 14 years. I became a Social Worker because I felt drawn to promoting self-actualization and healing psychological pain. I work collaboratively with clients to focus on what fits your unique needs and strengths.

Hi, I’m Natasha, and I help overwhelmed, anxious, and self-critical kids (ages 4+) and teens feel more confident, calm, and emotionally in control.
Therapy with me is about creating a space where your child can feel safe, seen, and supported. I use play therapy with younger kids to help them process emotions without needing to find the right words. For teens, we talk in ways that feel natural, real, and empowering—no pressure, no judgment. I also support parents along the way.

Areas of focus include existential anxiety, self-discovery, values, stress, and life transitions.
Life can challenge us in ways that leave us questioning, searching, or feeling perpetually dissatisfied. The realities of modern life can make it difficult to slow down and get to the heart of things, and this can be a place for you to come to a deeper understanding of where you stand. This might involve working toward making necessary changes or shifting your perspective to recognize what might already be available to you. My goal is to support you in moving toward a steadier sense of clarity, direction, and wholeness. I’ll do my best to be a supportive presence in your process while adapting to your needs as they emerge.

Therapy isn't just about new realizations - it's about transforming those realizations into deliberate steps you can take to improve things. I am a strong advocate for a two pronged approach to mental health - developing coping strategies to handle times of crisis, and building a strong foundation to reduce the overall amount of crisis moments in your life. I enjoy working with people who have a wide variety of backgrounds and walks of life.

New clients welcome! I work with the nervous system, not just the mind, so the work goes beyond insight and into genuine and lasting change. Together, we slow things down, build safety, and gently shift the patterns that keep you in cycles of tension, overwhelm, or disconnection. This is a space to move from reacting automatically to responding with more choice and ease. Rather than focusing on analysis, the work centers on helping you gently release what’s been holding you back so you can feel more grounded and empowered.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioural therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioural Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
