Many of the people I work with are seeking support to manage feelings of anxiety, sadness, or stress, while others feel stuck in difficult relationships and past experiences. Some are navigating depression, trauma, or challenges with self-esteem, while others are simply seeking a safe space to understand themselves better. You may not have the words for what you’re going through, only a sense that something needs to change.

Trauma can change the way you see yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. You may feel stuck in survival mode- carrying shame, fear, or grief that’s hard to name or release. Maybe you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, or dissociation, unsure how to feel like yourself again. I help individuals heal from trauma, childhood wounds, loss, and relationship struggles, offering a safe, compassionate space to process pain and rediscover strength. Together, we’ll rebuild your sense of self and move toward healing, connection, and lasting hope.

Do your emotions sometimes feel like they’re running the show? Maybe you understand where it’s coming from, or maybe the intensity catches you off guard. When big feelings start to affect your relationships, daily life, or sense of self, it can feel overwhelming. But it’s also a signal that something inside is asking to be understood. I work with individuals who are ready to explore the root of their emotional experiences, feel more grounded, and reconnect with a sense of calm and clarity. You don’t have to navigate this alone.

If you’ve found yourself here, something inside you is ready for change. Maybe you’ve been keeping it all together on the outside, while quietly struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, or emotional dysregulation. You might feel disconnected from yourself, exhausted by just “coping,” and unsure what healing really means. I work with individuals living with complex trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, and Borderline Personality Disorder; people who are ready to move beyond survival into deeper self-understanding. My approach is steady, relational, and deeply attuned to your nervous system and lived experience.

You’ve lived through things most people won’t understand; whether as a first responder, caregiver, trauma survivor, or someone facing anxiety, addiction, or overwhelming stress. On the outside, you may seem fine. But inside, you might feel numb, on edge, disconnected, or constantly exhausted. Maybe sleep is hard. Maybe small things set you off. Maybe you’re asking, Why can’t I just feel okay? If you’re tired of pushing through and ready for things to change, you’re not alone. I help people carrying the weight of trauma (recent or long ago) begin to heal and feel like themselves again.

Taking part in Psychotherapy with Kyle involves being offered a space that you can feel comfortable sharing your concerns and being met with honesty in return. I believe in striving to help clients assess where improvements are needed and strengths are present. While using various therapeutic modalities, I most commonly support clients through the use of CBT, DBT, solution focused strategies and a person centred approach. As a male I have had success helping other males with male related issues: relationships, self-esteem, anger, anxiety, life improvement, and simply being someone you can discuss stressful issues with.

You were the kid who had it all figured out, the one teachers called “mature for your age.” Now you’re the adult who can’t turn your brain off, overthinks every text, and feels guilty for needing a break. Between work, relationships, parenting, and trying to keep your plants alive, it’s a lot. You’ve read the self-help books, downloaded the mindfulness apps, and still feel stuck. Therapy with me isn’t about toxic positivity or chasing your “best self.” It’s about untangling the noise, laughing when we need to, and finally giving yourself permission to just be human. If that sounds like relief, you’re in the right place.

We all struggle sometimes. We feel uncertain and overwhelmed, we get stuck. It’s a completely normal part of life, and there is no need to go through it alone. When we experience these uncomfortable feelings, we can feel disconnected from our relationships, experiences, and life in general. Our mental spotlight shines more brightly on our challenges, leaving the good parts often in the dark. I offer a safe environment to explore your life experiences, challenges, and needs through open and authentic connection. I invite you into a deeper conversation.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
