Some of what shaped you happened long before you had words for it. You learned to read the room, to keep the peace, to need very little. It worked then. Now it shows up as relationships where you walk on eggshells, an apology reflex, and a tiredness that sleep does not touch. Maybe you are also carrying a loss, and everyone around you has moved on while you are still standing in it. I lost my own mother, so I know grief does not follow a schedule. You do not have to explain the whole story before we begin, and nothing you bring here will be too much.

Maybe you've promised yourself you'd stop, more than once, and only you know how many times. Maybe you've told yourself it isn't really a problem, or that you'll deal with it tomorrow, or that it isn't bad enough to need help. Lately something feels off, like it takes more than it gives, and it's harder to sit with than you expected. On the outside you might look like you're holding it together, while inside things feel heavier than they should. If you've never said any of this out loud to anyone, that makes sense. Problematic pornography use is a private thing, and shame keeps most people quiet long after they start to wonder.

Your mind doesn’t switch off.
You overthink decisions.
There’s constant pressure to stay sharp, perform, and keep things together.
From the outside, things look fine.
Internally, it feels tense, restless, and hard to fully relax.
Most of the men I work with are used to pushing through, but over time, that turns into anxiety, irritability, mental fatigue, and disconnection.
I help you understand what’s driving it, including how past experiences have shaped these patterns, then we work on changing how you respond so you can feel more in control and less caught in it.

Your mind and your emotions both seem to run faster than you can keep up with. One moment you're fine, the next your chest is tight, your thoughts are racing toward everything that could go wrong, or a wave of panic or anger comes out of nowhere and takes over. Maybe you replay conversations for hours, lie awake bracing for tomorrow, or feel things so intensely that the size of the reaction scares you. You might look calm and capable on the outside while it's exhausting on the inside. This isn't you being weak or "too sensitive." It's a nervous system stuck on high alert, and it can be turned down.

I recognize that life is complex, and so are the issues we live with. Whether it be a significant change, like losing a loved one, or tension within a meaningful relationship, it can feel overwhelming and hopeless trying to find our way through these challenges. I believe that we have the solutions to solve our problems within us and, at times, this requires us to reach out for support to uncover the answers to overcome these problems. From there, we seek to understand how we can learn from these hard times to strengthen ourselves and our relationships and find meaning from our experiences.

Maybe it started as a way to take the edge off, and now you cannot picture getting through the day without it. The drink, the pills, the high, whatever it is, it quiets things for a while, and then it costs you more than it gives back: sleep, money, work, the trust of the people who love you. You have probably promised yourself you would cut back, and meant it, and still ended up back here. That does not make you weak or broken. Substances are good at becoming the one thing that reliably works, until they do not. You do not have to hit rock bottom to deserve help, and you do not have to have it all figured out before you reach out.
