I also offer dedicated support for women navigating infertility, burnout, and postpartum mental health, experiences that can feel isolating even when surrounded by others.
I believe in the mind and body’s ability to heal when given the right support. My approach blends neuroscience-informed therapy with mind-body methods such as Brainspotting & Hypnotherapy. These approaches help shift patterns held in the nervous system so change is not just something you talk about, but something you begin to experience and embody in daily.

Your little one is inconsolable. You've checked the diaper, fed them, they're warm but NOTHING is helping. You go for a hug, they push back and the crying turns into screaming. Then you feel it. Your patience is wearing thin. The anger is rising up. And that nagging voice gets louder, "You should know how to fix this. You're failing. A good mom would know what to do." This isn't the first time either. It's becoming a pattern and before you know it, you've turned into the parent you never wanted to be. This time with your little one is short and you feel like it's slipping away because your emotions are out of control.

We support individuals and couples with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, body image, grief, coping, depression, ADHD, weight-related challenges, parenting, infertility, and relationships.
We often move through life in survival mode, on autopilot, waiting for “someday” when things might finally feel better. But real, lasting change starts in the here and now. At Glow Mental Health, we offer neuro-diversity affirming and trauma-informed therapy for individuals navigating anxiety, depression, fertility, perinatal health, parenting, identity shifts, trauma, or chronic illness. We also support couples in every stage. Every session, whether individual or with a partner, is tailored to your unique needs, your pace, and the life you want to create.

Hi! I'm Gillian (she/her) and I am a Registered Psychotherapist and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. I have studied mental health across the lifespan and have over 15 years of experience working in healthcare. I believe that at the heart of being human is the desire for connection with others and our world. But sometimes it can feel like we are stuck and disconnected. As a therapist, I set out to build strong connections with my clients, making them feel seen, heard and cared for. Together we set goals and make a treatment plan, taking into account each individual’s unique experiences, culture, and beliefs.

Becoming a parent brings so much joy—but it also brings a lot of change. When you’re constantly putting everyone else’s needs first, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or completely burnt out. Juggling family life, work, relationships, and the things that once filled your cup can feel exhausting and unsustainable. Therapy offers a space just for you. Together, we can explore practical strategies to manage the mental load, ease anxiety or burnout, and help you reconnect with yourself and what matters most.

On the outside, you look like you have it all together. You are the responsible one. The one everyone relies on. But on the inside, you feel exhausted. Perhaps your mind races at night or you feel constantly on edge, waiting for the other shoe to drop. Maybe you feel stuck between what your family expects of you and what you actually want for yourself. You care deeply about your roots, but find it hard to set boundaries without feeling guilty. You spend so much energy worrying about others that there is nothing left for you. You are tired of just going through the motions. You want to feel calm, confident, and actually in control.

My clients usually come to therapy for relief from their mental health symptoms. They are often feeling overwhelmed, have been thinking about making changes for a long time and are feeling stuck in how to move forward. Together we look at the issues, explore how it is impacting their lives, and come up goals and a treatment plan. This treatment plan includes learning more about your mental health, gaining new skills and strategies that you will carry with you long after therapy ends, and finally practicing a language of self-compassion to replace unhelpful/critical thinking.

Infertility Counsellors
How can infertility affect couples and their relationship?
Clients who are dealing with infertility may experience conflict and communication problems. It’s not unusual for shame, blame, and guilt to arise in cases of infertility, whether the source of the problem is one partner or both. This means that clients are upset and pulling away from their partner just when they need them the most. Some clients may find it difficult to spend time around friends and family who are pregnant. Friends and family can also make hurtful comments that increase tension during this time.

How does therapy for infertility issues work?
The therapist will begin by gathering information about the client or couple and make a treatment plan for their specific concerns. In addition to addressing common mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma reactions or PTSD, therapists can help clients improve their decision-making and deal with stressors unique to infertility. Some examples include coping with the “two-week wait” before a pregnancy test, the distress associated with a failed attempt or miscarriage, and the shame and blame sometimes associated with reproductive concerns.

What type of therapy is best for infertility issues?
Many therapists offer psychotherapy for individuals and couples who are dealing with infertility issues. Some helpful therapeutic approaches include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which can aid clients in reframing negative thoughts about their situation. Expressive writing and art therapy can help clients process difficult feelings. Clients might also benefit from group therapy to experience support from others who are dealing with the same problems.

How long does therapy for infertility issues take?
There is no set length for therapy that addresses infertility or reproductive concerns. Some clients might find it helpful to continue therapy during their pregnancy to have healthy ways to cope with any associated stress, anxiety, depression, or trauma. Some clients who decide not to pursue fertility treatments might benefit from the support of a therapist. The duration of therapy varies depending on the individual client’s specific needs and goals.
