I help clients work through anxiety, depression, and grief by exploring how unconscious dynamics shape their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in a reflective, emotionally attuned space.
Ever feel like everyone else has it figured out, but you're still trying to find your way? Many young people I work with appear fine on the outside. Life may look stable on paper, yet inside there's a sense of feeling lost, unfulfilled, or stuck in cycles of overthinking and self-criticism. If this sounds familiar, you're in the right place.

This work encapsulates big philosophical concerns like death but also more down-to-earth concerns like changing careers or finding time with friends.
I don't know why you're here, but you're here for a reason. I can't know that reason until we meet and you tell me. I can't wait for that moment.
Therapy is spontaneous, even if it's not always exciting or fun. This fact makes it difficult to describe exactly what we'll do in session together. Sometimes it'll be laughing together, other times crying in the shared space. Mostly, we'll talk. You'll help guide me through your inner world and we'll look at how it has grown and is still growing.
Even if we're only together for one brief session, we'll have a conversation and my hope is that it is useful in some way.

You may be carrying experiences that still feel heavy, painful memories, lingering sensations, or emotional states that are difficult to name or release.
You might be trying to understand what happened in your childhood, past or present, and how to feel more grounded and at ease in your life.
I recognize there are times when healing can feel unreachable and it is impossible to move forward.

Together, we may explore how past relational wounds, grief, life transitions, or ongoing pressures are shaping your present.
Are you someone who seems to be managing on the outside, but inside feels overwhelmed, burnt out, or stuck in old emotional patterns? Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, high-functioning adults who are used to caring for others, pushing through stress, or holding themselves to very high standards. Over time, this can lead to exhaustion, self-criticism, relationship strain, or a sense of disconnection from yourself and what you truly need. I offer trauma-informed therapy that helps you slow down, make sense of your experiences, and develop more sustainable ways of coping and living.

Grief Counsellors
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.
When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.
Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.
What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
