I focus on helping people deal with intrusive thoughts related to many issues, like Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder ( OCD), PTSD, and anxiety.
My career as a therapist started as a career in theatre and film due to my love of narrative and storytelling. Over time, I became more interested in how the stories we believe about ourselves shape how we live our lives. I use scientifically supported treatments like CBT to explore these stories and see how helpful or not they are. Of course, we often already know that something isn't working, but it can be hard to believe anything different. To that end, our sessions usually include seeking out new experiences to develop new perspectives. My clients tell me they're surprised by how much more they can do than they first thought.

I specialize in guiding women to rebuild self-trust and come home to who they truly are by exploring the roots of anxiety, OCD, and self-doubt.
You’re constantly questioning yourself—overthinking every decision, doubting what you said, what you did, or if you're doing enough. You’re exhausted from trying to get it all right, as your own needs take a back seat. You’ve read the books, tried to think positively, but it hasn’t reached the part of you that feels stuck. You long to feel calm and confident but can’t seem to access that part of you.
You don’t need to push harder—you need a path back to yourself. And it is possible—by gently reconnecting with your body, your truth, and the safety that already lives within you.

Specializing in tailored therapy sessions to address trauma, mood disorders, OCD, ADHD, and PTSD, I employ cognitive behavioural therapy to help clients manage symptoms of mental health disorders, improve resiliency skills, and thrive in their endeavours.
In my own experience as a high-level athlete and first responder, I saw the way mental health impacted obstacles life threw at me. Once I found the tools to thrive beyond my circumstances, I understood the need for specific therapy geared toward first responders and made a goal to help our world's helpers.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Counsellors
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.
What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.
Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine, fluoxetine, and sertraline, among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.
Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
