What if becoming whole was about cultivating and transforming our capacity to carry a heartbreak that has been entrusted to us? What if our joy is directly connected to our capacity to live into the fullness of our pain? What if we aren't meant to do this alone?

I believe that therapy is like building a warm and safe sanctuary together. A therapeutic space is one where we can comfortably be ourselves and process our past and present lives. Drawing from my South Asian and Muslim background, I bring an integrative and culturally sensitive approach to healing, rooted in trauma-informed practices. My aim is to provide you with a safe and non-judgemental space to share your life story and work collaboratively to discover or rediscover your values and meaning in life.

Trauma can leave you feeling completely overwhelmed, lost and like your world has been taken out from underneath you. Your days can begin to feel like one moment of anxiety that crashes into the next, all while trying to keep your head above water and survive. You know that you want to experience the best of yourself, you want to experience joy and ease, but your mental health, repeated thoughts and feelings of difficulty are keeping you down. You want better relationships, you want peace- but your life circumstances just don't seem to allow for it. What if I told you there was a better way to live, and it starts with therapy?

I specialize in supporting people experiencing anxiety or depression as a result of significant life transitions, particularly in early adulthood and pregnancy/early parenthood.Becoming a parent is profoundly life-changing. While we anticipate the joys of parenthood, we don't always expect it to feel so hard. It can bring up intense, sometimes scary feelings, be overwhelming or lonely. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to understand, process and cope with the changes in your life. By talking about your experiences, you can feel less alone and less overwhelmed, and together we can find ways for you to feel more grounded.

Life can be overwhelming at times... You may be suffering from trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, depression, or struggling with relationship difficulties...Why not use professional help and see how science and therapy benefit you? We could together analyze what your current difficulties are and determine contributed factors for these issues. The primary goals for therapy are positive changes, new options, eliminating or reducing symptoms and/or using better coping strategies. The sessions are structured, yet relaxed.

Life is freaking hard. It’s a lot to figure out and a lot to balance: how to navigate relationships, work, loss, not to mention how to prioritize yourself while still taking care of everyone else that needs your attention. Anxiety, parenthood, break ups, grief, caregiving, low self-esteem, and perfectionism are all so difficult. That’s why I’ve spent the better part of the last decade learning how to best support you to navigate life in a way that feels better.

As your therapist, I can help guide you to make healthy choices, to engage in healthy relationships, and to identify your own strengths. I provide an environment of compassion and creativity which helps inform the exploration of personal issues.
