Are you someone who's been struggling and not feeling quite like themselves? Would you like to be motivated to engage in activities again and to improve your overall mood? Perhaps there's an event that's happened maybe recently or even decades ago that you just can't let go of and it's affecting you in your day-to-day life. Sometimes unexpecting things happen that make it hard to manage our emotions.

I am a therapist who eats depression and anxiety problems for breakfast.
It's SO uncomfortable when you feel out of control. Feelings are in the driver's seat instead of logic or reason, & despite trying your best, you continue to struggle with strong feelings taking the wheel and crashing you out. Your mood is so low, it bottomed out last week. Your blues are so dark they're no longer navy blue, they're black. Your anxiety is so JUST right THERE, you have to use all your focus to keep your train of thought, instead of attending to people, your tasks, or the things you used to enjoy. You're cemented in suckage. Your worry about the future and about what others must think of you? It's on auto-pilot. yeah.

It can sometimes be overwhelming dealing with the circumstances of life. Sometimes depression , anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship troubles, insomnia, caregiver and work stress among other things can pile up so high that it’s hard to see ahead to better days. But you don’t have to do this alone. Those who have a network of support recover better from mental health struggles than those trying to do it alone. And YOU are now taking the first step at expanding your support network It is my goal that through our work together, you will experience rising hope, and that tomorrow will be better than today!

You're confident you'll begin to feel better with therapy for your overstress, anxiety, depression , or life adjustment problems.
Right now things just don't feel right. You're trying your best to cope, but it just isn't working. You're tired, not motivated, feeling down and blue, and you don't know how to fix it. Or, you're noticing that you're feeling uncomfortable in your body, worried, and stressed out, but attempts to solve your problem just haven't cut it (and maybe your coping attempts are making things a bit worse!). You might be noticing eating, sleeping, or additional problems, and you're tempted to back away from your regular life patterns to manage.

With science-proven therapies backed by results, I help adults learn how to resolve their issues related to trauma, depression , anxiety, and recovering from workplace injuries.
You’re struggling with intense feelings - lonely, sad, worried, overwhelmed, or lost - and you’re not bouncing back from some/all of the crappy things that have happened in your life. You’re not thriving the way you know you could be. You’re not feeling yourself, but you’ve tried what you know usually helps already, and it’s not enough. Despite your best efforts to correct the issues, things aren’t settled, you’re out of ideas, and you’re not able to talk with people around you about your problem. All you want is to feel lighthearted, happy or heck - you’d settle for just comfortable.

Depression Counsellors
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
