Many of my clients share some version of, “I’ve never said this out loud before.” Creating a space where that feels possible is central to my work. I work with adults, couples, and neurodivergent teens and adults navigating stress, communication challenges, relationship conflict, ADHD, autism, and executive functioning difficulties. For men, therapy often focuses on managing pressure, emotional shutdown, anger, and strengthening communication skills in practical, direct ways. For couples, I help partners break repetitive conflict cycles, rebuild trust, and move from disconnection to meaningful connection.

I help adults and couples untangle the deep roots of developmental trauma, complex PTSD, addictions, mood instability, and personality challenges. Many grew up in environments where they had to survive, not thrive—leaving them stuck, dysregulated, or disconnected. I also work with first responders carrying the weight of high-stress roles. My approach is relational and trauma-informed, offering a grounded space to heal emotional patterns, relationship ruptures, and identity struggles from the inside out.

If you’re living with chronic pain, burnout, or feeling stuck in patterns you can't quite understand such as procrastination—and it feels like you’ve tried everything—psychotherapy may be able to help. Mental health challenges aren’t always visible unlike a broken bone or skin rash, but they can show up in very real ways: in your body, your energy, your focus, and your day-to-day life. Together, we use evidence-based approaches to better understand these patterns, process through them, and help you move towards the life you want for yourself. This is an area I also understand personally, which shapes how I approach this work.

Counselling can be quite daunting, so congratulations on taking this first step. I believe our lives are shaped by countless stories. Some are pleasant, some are challenging, and some may be buried deep inside. As Maya Angelou puts it, "There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." I provide a warm and accepting place where you can be yourself -- with all your stories, whatever they might be. Together, we can explore what's going on in your life today, and how your past stories may be affecting you in the present.

Oftentimes it takes time to figure things out, and rushing to find solutions can lead us astray. With over 30 years in the mental health field, I'm a registered clinical psychologists for adult clients dealing with issues like depression, anxiety, relationships issues, loneliness, grief, guilt and regrets. While I understand the natural desire for a "quick fix" to end our suffering, I also believe that we need to slow down and figure things out together to achieve long term contentment. Therapy for true change requires time, courage, and curiosity about yourself and others.

Neurofeedback & Trauma Therapy: The impacts of trauma rewire the brain and nervous system to experience the world as a threatening place. This adaptation alters how we relate to ourselves and others, and it leads us away from authentic identity. Trauma includes events like past childhood abuse, emotional neglect, grief, rejection, chronic pain and illness, to name a few. You may become stressed, anxious, experience intrusive thoughts, fear, and rage. You may feel alone, easily triggered, trapped, and like there’s a void within—like you just can’t be yourself again. Yet, you have no clue that it all stems from unprocessed trauma.

My work helps people connect with the parts of themselves that enable them to outgrow their problems. This process unfolds through deeper engagement with dreams, stories, conversations, and the imagination. I work with adults who feel stuck in their professional, emotional, or spiritual development and want to examine the patterns that limit their capacity for love, success, and creativity. My approach is grounded in the tradition of Analytical Psychology developed by Carl Jung, Marie-Louis von Franz, James Hillman, and Wolfgang Giegerich.

What type of therapy is best for narcissistic personality disorder?
Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is best treated with talk therapy, which could involve cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, schema therapy, gestalt therapy, or similar approaches. A therapist will help a patient uncover the feelings that may drive their behavior and discover how to engage with themselves and those around them with greater empathy and understanding, fewer demands, and less defensiveness, with the goal of developing a more authentic sense of self that enables healthier relationships.

How do therapists treat NPD?
By developing a strong therapeutic relationship, and continually focusing patients on relationships, community, and connection, a therapist, through talk therapy, may be able to help someone with NPD change. In sessions, a therapist will help an individual achieve relief from their current stressors, including the treatment of co-occurring conditions such as anxiety or depression. A therapist may also help an individual to recognize unhealthy coping mechanisms, learn new ways of interacting with others, and eventually become able to feel and display empathy.

Can a narcissist be cured with therapy?
Therapy can be effective. After a serious setback or great loss, someone with NPD may be forced to recognize that they are not immune to life’s challenges. That can spur feelings of melancholy and depression that lead them to seek professional help. Once an individual decides to seek help, they have already taken a step that the majority of those with NPD never will. Still, people with NPD often quit therapy as they naturally resist feeling vulnerable, being challenged, or admitting to flaws.

How can you get narcissistic personality disorder treatment for someone?
It is notoriously difficult to convince someone with NPD to seek help. With their feelings of superiority, they may be unlikely to recognize or acknowledge that they have a problem, or that their problem is narcissism. Sometimes, they are aware that they are arrogant and that others resent them but they don’t see it as a problem because they are convinced of their superiority. People with NPD have trouble maintaining relationships, but family members and others who do feel close to them, and whose presence they value, may be able to encourage them to seek therapy.
