It can be a moving experience, to be truly heard and understood. These days, with all of life's distractions, sitting with someone for an hour, who is actively listening and interested in what you have to say can take getting used to! With therapy, we begin with where you are today. I meet you where you are at and we work together on what you need to feel better in your inner and outer world. I support folks who are struggling with grief, anxiety, depression, anger, codependency, relationship issues, sexuality, trauma, or spirituality. I am here to offer acceptance, curiosity, and a new perspective on what feels stuck in your life.

You are not alone if you're still recovering from 4 years of pandemic stress, loss, and transition.
You are a mature and accomplished person, but you've had a lot to cope with lately, and you're seeking insight and resources. Your most immediate need may be to recover a daily life that works for you, or to cope with stress, or to grieve a loss. You may be at a crossroads with decisions to make, or in the midst of a transition. You may carry the responsibilities of a leadership position. As a Life and Leadership Coach, I meet you in conversations which inspire and equip you to know yourself, to identify your goals, and to design strategies for moving forward.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, anger, and grief, but I’m more interested in the person than a diagnosis.
Growing up, I just assumed everybody didn’t like themselves. I thought there were people that were open about not liking themselves, and then the rest of us pretending to like ourselves. It was the work I did in therapy that helped me learn there was this wild third option of “actually liking and appreciating myself”. Now I have the joy of sharing that with people as they learn they don’t have to feel so angry, worried, afraid, sad, or guilty all of the time.

I combine my personal experience as a chronic warrior and a family caregiver with my professional knowledge and experience to provide compassionate, client-focused therapy & counselling for ADHD, chronic illness, depression, caregiving, grief & loss, anxiety, couples & sex therapy, addictions (alcohol/drugs, sex & gambling), self-esteem, trauma, and burnout.
Living with a chronic illness or disability, or being a family caregiver for a loved one, is complicated and life-changing. Chronic pain, fatigue, medical trauma, burnout, and isolation are all very real challenges that can take a negative toll on your mental health and impact your relationships. I know you have had to do a ton of advocating for yourself or your loved one to ensure needs are being met, and there still remain far too many barriers to getting the support you deserve. You should not have to do this alone. It IS possible to regain control of your life and have a supportive team collaborating with you to meet your goals!

My six years of experience includes working with children, youth, adults and older adults in the areas of mental illness, addiction, grief, trauma, LGBT2SQ+ navigation, and spiritual care.
People deserve to feel heard and valued, especially when facing the storms of life, so I work to create a presence that honours this. I work from a person-centred, trauma-informed, existential framework, seeking to honour each persons own unique experiences related to their particular intersectionalities. Working also from a spiritually-integrated perspective allows me to explore with clients the impact of spiritual wellness, with interspiritual and intercultural sensitivity. If you are experiencing distress related to meaning, identity, and/or spirituality, you will find a non-judgmental presence in which to safely explore.
