My favourite modalities are Internal
Family
Systems, Art therapy and Somatic work !.
My goal as a therapist is to create a connection that allows for curiosity, risk-taking, fun and emotional safety so that you feel empowered to share in sessions. If you are experiencing anxiety, depression, life-transitions, grief, relationship issues, or questions around identity I would love to explore this with you. I enjoy connecting people to their emotions and will often aim to increase connection between your emotions and your body so you feel empowered to express your feelings and increase self-trust. Emotions have important information for us and feeling them in the presence of another is sometimes all that's needed.

We all go through difficulties in our lives, ranging from frustrating, distressing, to traumatic. Mental Health struggles can complicate our interaction with the world, causing problems in many parts of life, including socially, with
family
, in employment or legally. Getting some advice, coping techniques or in depth treatment can be helpful to provide relief to yourself and improve interactions with those around you.

Sometimes we just need somebody we can trust! I have a natural ability to empathize with your experiences which helps with building a genuine, trusting relationship. This relationship will be the foundation of our work together. I have been working in the mental health field for over 15 years and have developed many skills both professionally as well as personally through my own life experiences. I have been learning how to intergrade IFS ( Internal
Family
Systems aka "Parts" ) into my practice.

My specialties include, working with couples,
family
dynamics, addictions.
You've only got this life. If you are struggling, reach out. We are social beings and when we connect with each other life is a little better. Growth and change is an inside job. I believe there is a wisdom within you. I strive to turn you toward your inner strength and build a connection with yourself. When we feel a strong connection, we stop allowing the external world to impact how we feel and navigate. Our internal connection deepens all of your relationships and you begin to experience the intimacy you are seeking.

family
. I provide a holistic approach to support the whole

How do we navigate change? As we’ve all learned in these past years, the ability to navigate change has been uncertain and very tough. But whether it’s a change in your mood, your physical health, your career, your
family
life and relationships, or struggling through challenges that have been out of your control, it can be a very bewildering, confusing and even scary time. As a therapist, my approach centres your safety and empowering you to uncover your inner abilities and strengths. My role is to walk beside you through the tough challenges and be a guide through – what might feel like – the wilderness of your own emotions.

I know what it's like to struggle with kids,
family
issues, money, illness.
You've had the same conversation over and over. They want you to stop bringing up the past, and you would... if they listened to you! Your partner withdraws, shuts down, or blows up in anger. You feel unheard and dismissed, and they feel like you're impossible to please. You love each other, but you're tired of doing this. You want change. You aren't alone - thousands of couples have worked with me to break these cycles, improve communication, and get the spark back in their relationship.

I also offer
family therapy
in instances where there are children or other relatives involved that are essential to the
family
unit.
It can be incredibly difficult to navigate relationships - between each individual, plus the partnership(s), there are a lot of complex thoughts, feelings and emotions. LGBTQ+ relationships and polyamorous relationships can be even more difficult to navigate once we consider added concerns such as marginalization, discrimination, additional partners, parenting, and more. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space for you and your partner(s) to discuss areas of concern, regardless of how your relationship is structured.

With over 20 years of professional practice, my experience working through life transitions,
family
crisis, work related stress, coping with personal and
family
health conditions, end of life, expected and anticipated loss, grief, and bereavement, as well as day to day overwhelm are areas we can explore together.
Connecting with you in a compassionate, empathetic, and relaxed manner. Are you or a loved one experiencing overwhelming feelings of stress and anxiety? I believe in starting our conversation where you are in your life and exploring this with you through strengths based, solution focused counselling and support. When we reach adulthood we are not well prepared for managing the feelings that come with that. Sometimes these overpowering feelings can become so large that we need to reach out and find support from someone like myself that can help you find strength, solutions, and calm in an environment that is peaceful and relaxed.

Hi! I'm Zeb and I work with children, youth and their caregivers. I understand that when a young person is experiencing emotional or behavioural problems it reorganizes the way that a whole
family
functions. I believe that better understanding our own emotions and the emotions of others is the key to helping make positive change in the lives of children and families.

What do family therapists do?
A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.
How long does therapy for families take to work?
Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.
How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?
You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.
Is therapy for families effective?
Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
