I get it. Life can have some tough moments that make us realize we can't do it alone. I'm here to help you make sense of the messy, the frustrating, and the hurt. I am committed to working with you to bring light into the dark parts, understanding to the confusion, and hope to the hurt. Whether for yourself or your child, let me help you build the skills to exhale a little easier.

My clients want to talk about relationships (with themselves and others) and various types of trauma and stress. They feel stuck in old patterns that no longer work for them despite "knowing better" and later ruminating and falling into self-blame. Some of my clients have tried to self-medicate and/or escape into dissociation and distraction-based dopamine highs because they are drowning in emotions, and their nervous systems are buzzing on high alert.

I have completed training in DBT, Trauma-informed care, EFT and IFS (in progress)
I believe therapy allows people to share their stories and feel their emotions in an environment that is safe and considers their unique needs. I strive to validate people’s emotions (because they are understandable), to highlight their strengths (because sometimes people can’t see them) and to build hope (because it can be restored).

Now Accepting New Clients: Do you need a therapist who actually understands how trauma impacts the body and brain, and how it affects all your relationships - especially the one with yourself? Maybe you've tried therapy before, but felt like you were just venting - but you need to learn how to actually PROCESS your emotions, not just talk about them. You've tried all the things - meditation, journaling, breathwork, medication, positive thinking, you've saved all the therapy tiktoks but you're still stuck. You have felt this way for a while and are not only ready, but are fully committed to making real change.

My goal is to support and guide you on your journey of self-discovery. While exploring who we are can sometimes feel uncomfortable, it can also be an insightful and transformative experience that brings us closer to our most authentic selves. I recognize that starting therapy is a significant step, and through my own experiences, I deeply understand and appreciate any hesitations you may have. That hesitancy is natural, but it can also be the first sign of meaningful growth and change.

You feel stuck, like you're caught in patterns of disconnection, self-doubt, or unresolved pain from the past. You’re not looking for quick fixes, you want real change. You want to understand yourself more deeply, heal what’s been holding you back, and feel more connected in who you are. Maybe you're looking for support with your partner. You both feel distant, like you're stuck in the same arguments, or unsure how to reach each other anymore. Maybe you’re carrying resentment, hurt, or fear that things won’t change. You’re looking for more than tools, you want to understand what’s really happening, and find lasting change.

Accepting New Clients! My name is Jasmine, and I support clients carrying the weight of childhood wounds, generational trauma, family conflict, and complicated relationships. Maybe you’ve tried to keep the peace, but arguments still happen, boundaries don’t stick, and old triggers hit hard. You might feel torn between cultural or family expectations and what you truly want -and guilty for wanting something different. If you feel stuck, unheard, or exhausted by the same patterns, you’re not alone. Therapy can be a safe space to untangle it with compassion, understand where it comes from, and start healing how it impacts you today.

When you’ve been carrying too much for too long, it can start to show up as constant worry, low mood, emotional numbness, grief, burnout, or impostor syndrome. You may feel stuck in survival mode - going through the motions, reacting instead of living, and feeling disconnected from yourself or the life you hoped to be living. These experiences are often rooted in unresolved stress or trauma, and they are not a personal failing. You are not broken, and you are not alone. We are here to help you find relief from overwhelm, process trauma, rebuild trust in yourself, and feel more confident and connected in your life and relationships.

Hi there! I'm Courtney, and I work with children and their parents, youth, and adults. Sometimes when you feel overwhelmed, it’s hard to know where to start. You may feel stressed out about your situation, but uncertain about what to do. Maybe you've tried therapy before, or you are intimidated to start. Or perhaps it's your child or teen who you are concerned about. Trying to do it all alone and without support is hard, but reaching out for help isn't easy.

Hello! Does any of this sound familiar? You’ve done a lot to keep things together: managing responsibilities, staying productive, showing up for others. But underneath that, you might be feeling anxious, disconnected, or like you’re always falling short in ways you can’t fully explain.

While I often lean on approaches like Emotionally Focused, Relational, Narrative, Cognitive-Behavioural, and Solution-Focused Therapy, I know every person is different- which means therapy should be too.
Life often feels like it’s moving faster than we can keep up. In the rush, emotions can feel messy or overwhelming, and relationships may feel strained or uncertain. Many people I work with share that they feel anxious about closeness, unsure of their needs, or disconnected from themselves. They want space to slow down, make sense of what they’re feeling, and create healthier ways of showing up in their relationships and daily lives.

Emotionally Focused Counsellors
Who is emotionally focused therapy for?
Emotionally focused therapy (EFT) is for couples who are emotionally distressed, stuck in an unsatisfying relationship pattern or feeling deeply alienated. They may even believe the relationship is beyond repair. Very often, the partners display intense anger, fear, grief, loss of trust, or a sense of betrayal in the relationship. In addition, EFT is helpful to couples and individuals who have difficulty expressing emotions and those who have trouble regulating emotions.

Why do people need emotionally focused therapy?
People need emotionally focused therapy because the need for others is built into the brain, but the pressures of daily life can erode feelings of love, and couples often do not have the skills to find their way back to the comfort of each other. Instead, they may be stuck in repetitive patterns of anger, fear, grief, loss of trust, or a sense of betrayal. Emotionally focused therapy regards such strong negative feelings as expressions of protest over the loss of connection and turns them into pathways of reconnection.

What happens in emotionally focused therapy?
Over the course of eight to 20 weekly sessions, couples de-escalate their negative emotional reactivity to one another so that they can listen to each other and be responsive to each other’s needs. Then the deep emotional and physical bond is restored, giving partners a sense of comfort and security, which they can use to solve whatever problems come their way. The therapist plays an active role, helping partners understand how anger and withdrawal are actually misguided cries for connection.

What problems does emotionally focused therapy treat?
EFT is designed to help couples stuck in dysfunctional relationship patterns regain closeness and rebuild their relationship. Typically, such couples experience considerable distress, with partners feeling alienated and distrustful of one another, not certain their relationship can survive. EFT is also helpful to individuals experiencing attachment-related fears of loss; it helps them learn to use their fears as a way of eliciting the closeness they desire.
