No Waitlist! Virtual appointments throughout Ontario. Does this sound like you: You're a highly sensitive person and empath. You have read the self-help books, tried things like meditation and journaling, maybe you've been to therapy before - but you still feel stuck. This might look like people pleasing, self-sabotage, overwhelm or overthinking. Maybe for you it's anxiety, ADHD , panic, overeating, procrastination, and difficulty regulating emotions. Often, this can show up as difficulties in interpersonal relationships - either being attracted to the "wrong" people or being unable to find fulfillment in your existing relationships.

I work with adults struggling with ADHD or attentional issues who are looking to simplify the way they engage in their daily activities. Adult ADHD can impact many aspects of life, with challenges ranging from scheduling and prioritizing time, organizing workspaces, filtering environmental stimuli, and regulating emotions. These difficulties can lead to feeling overwhelmed, always behind, and consistently disorganized. I help clients organize the chaos and engage in the activities they want to do, like to do, and/or are expected to do. No official ADHD diagnosis required. Please note I cannot complete diagnostic assessment.

Do issues from your childhood and adolescence keep reemerging to cause you anxiety and depression? Do these experiences keep you locked in a cycle of feeling stuck? These patterns can affect the way we feel about ourselves and alter our sense of purpose in the world. If you are looking to do a 'deep dive' in therapy, where we look into longstanding patterns, recurring or irregular dreams, and defense mechanisms, then we may be a good fit. I aim to help clients bring balance to their lives, and achieve a greater sense of wholeness. I specialize in ADHD , Trauma & PTSD, and helping people with Borderline Personality Disorder & NPD.

I work with clients who struggle with "regulation difficulties". When your "motor" is running automatically, too fast or too slow, it is very difficult to respond efficiently and thoughtfully. My clients struggle to be present, are unable to respond appropriately in times of stress, and cannot maintain a direction in life. Some of my clients have difficulties such as Complex Trauma, attachment issues, depression, anxiety and ADHD . This can happen to men, women, children and teens. Learning to be regulated can improve one's ability to focus and to learn, to be able to manage one's life and have deep meaningful relationships.

I primarily work with individuals (16+) experiencing symptoms of anxiety & depression ( ADHD , OCD, GAD).
People see you as dependable, organized, and always smiling. Someone they can always rely on for help or support, someone who will always make time for other's. But on the inside you feel like a fraud, overwhelmed, exhausted from trying to keep up this charade, and even resentful at times.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
