Most people who come to me are struggling with challenges that fall into one of four main categories: 1) anxiety, and other struggles with emotional regulation, 2) relationship difficulties, with family, friends, stress, work, nature, society, spirituality, and oneself, 3) direction, related to life purpose or career, and 4) depression, and grief-related challenges. I work with adult individuals (16 and up) and couples seeking guidance, support, and tools to help navigate life struggles with more self-awareness and agency. I also offer clinical supervision, and have practicum students working under my supervision at a reduced rate.

Men are just as likely as women to have mental health issues yet are far less likely to utilize traditional mental health services. Men are more likely to believe that mental health services are difficult to access, ineffective and invasive. At Cogent, Ontario’s new mental health clinic focussed solely on supporting men, we’re changing that.
