If you're looking to identify and heal coping patterns—around relationships, boundaries, attachment, work stress, existential questions, or identity—you’re in the right place. I work from a systemic, trauma-informed, climate-aware, polyamory- and queer-friendly lens. I'm mindful of how culture and society shape our mental health, and how therapy is just one part of a broader healing process. Having walked through grief, trauma, and burnout of my own, I come with a lived understanding of some of life's hardest lessons, and I hope that whatever you come to therapy with, I can support meaningful shifts in your life.

Accepting New Clients: In-Person & Phone/Video. We believe that there is good in every person, and hope in every situation. We have helped individuals, couples, and families heal, grow, and connect. As relational therapists, we appreciate the impact that our relationships have on our well-being. We do not see clients as having something wrong with their minds that necessarily needs to be fixed. Rather, we see our clients as unique individuals, each with their own stories and perspectives, embedded in important relationships and contexts that impact them. We see strengths and we see hope, even when it feels like there is none.

On the outside, it looks like you’re thriving—a solid career, big goals, and a busy life. But inside, it’s another story. You’re juggling demanding work responsibilities and family dynamics that sometimes feel impossible to balance. The pressure to succeed professionally while managing relationships, parenting, or family expectations leaves you stretched thin. Your mind races with anxiety, focus is hard to maintain, and unresolved emotions resurface at the worst times. Between work stress, personal struggles, and feeling pulled in every direction, you’re starting to wonder how long you can keep this up.

Some pain is easier to navigate with someone who understands. If your life has included things like divorce, blended family dynamics, grief, family estrangement, family neurodivergence, career upheaval, or anxiety, you may want a therapist who can relate. I’ve been there, too. I don’t have a silver bullet, neither does anyone else, but therapy can feel more effective when you don’t have to explain everything from the ground up. With shared understanding, we can focus on what hurts, what can change, and how to move forward, together.
Therapy with me is collaborative and attuned to your unique history.

Emotionally Focused Counsellors
Who is emotionally focused therapy for?
Emotionally focused therapy (EFT) is for couples who are emotionally distressed, stuck in an unsatisfying relationship pattern or feeling deeply alienated. They may even believe the relationship is beyond repair. Very often, the partners display intense anger, fear, grief, loss of trust, or a sense of betrayal in the relationship. In addition, EFT is helpful to couples and individuals who have difficulty expressing emotions and those who have trouble regulating emotions.
Why do people need emotionally focused therapy?
People need emotionally focused therapy because the need for others is built into the brain, but the pressures of daily life can erode feelings of love, and couples often do not have the skills to find their way back to the comfort of each other. Instead, they may be stuck in repetitive patterns of anger, fear, grief, loss of trust, or a sense of betrayal. Emotionally focused therapy regards such strong negative feelings as expressions of protest over the loss of connection and turns them into pathways of reconnection.
What happens in emotionally focused therapy?
Over the course of eight to 20 weekly sessions, couples de-escalate their negative emotional reactivity to one another so that they can listen to each other and be responsive to each other’s needs. Then the deep emotional and physical bond is restored, giving partners a sense of comfort and security, which they can use to solve whatever problems come their way. The therapist plays an active role, helping partners understand how anger and withdrawal are actually misguided cries for connection.
What problems does emotionally focused therapy treat?
EFT is designed to help couples stuck in dysfunctional relationship patterns regain closeness and rebuild their relationship. Typically, such couples experience considerable distress, with partners feeling alienated and distrustful of one another, not certain their relationship can survive. EFT is also helpful to individuals experiencing attachment-related fears of loss; it helps them learn to use their fears as a way of eliciting the closeness they desire.
