I work from an anti-racist, anti-ableist, anti-colonial position. I feel honoured by the BIPOC, 2SLGBTQ+, and Neurodivergent (ADHD, ASD, SPD) folks (ages 16+ typically) who trust me with their stories, and questions, joys and worries. I support couples to regain common ground, reconnect with respect and curiosity, and navigate their connections with care. I help students explore their goals, explore pathways to academic success, and learn to advocate for themselves. I work with health care providers and administrators, first responders, and executives navigating work, life, and bravely examining implicit bias in their work.

Are you intelligent, "type-A", with a million things always on the go? On the outside you appear to have "made it", but on the inside your anxiety is crippling. You wonder if you have ADHD, you're working on 100 things at once, never seeming to be able to slow down until you crash (and then beat yourself up for resting). You start to wonder if you're depressed. Why does it feel like you're on such a roller coaster of emotions? You've tried journaling, meditating, maybe even medication or therapy, but you still feel stuck. You know you need to "love yourself", but you don't know how to actually DO that

Having worked in a demanding corporate career for a decade prior to becoming a therapist, I specialize in helping type A anxious women tame their intellectualizing, overthinking brains
You're smart, successful, driven - but you're stuck. On the outside nobody would guess it, but on the inside you feel torn apart. Your anxiety is relentless, your inner critic berates your every word, you can never get caught up on your to-do list, and no matter how much praise you get - you simply don't believe it. You wonder if you have anxiety, or maybe it's ADHD, or maybe even depression or past trauma. You definitely know you can't relax, it's hard to even stay still. You've read the self-help books, tried meditation, mental health walks, journaling...You know at the core you need to "love yourself", but truly don't know how

I specialize in supporting folks navigating anxiety, career struggles, depression, burnout, trauma, or self-esteem issues, we’ll work with your body, gently and safely, to help things actually shift.
You’ve done therapy before, maybe even a few times? You’ve talked through the anxiety, the depression, the trauma. You’ve got insight, but things still feel stuck - nothing feels like it’s ever changed and it feels like you’re back to ground zero. It’s time to dive into something different. Somatic therapy goes beyond talking to help your body process what your mind already knows. If traditional therapy hasn’t worked the way you’d hoped, this is likely the missing piece.

As a second- career therapist, I focus on helping adults who feel stuck in patterns shaped by trauma, anxiety, ADHD, burnout, and complex family or identity issues.
New Apr 2026: Do you feel like you're stuck in fight-or-flight: your heart pounds getting a simple text, you analyze every pause in conversation, reread emails 12 times before hitting send, or procraste until the last second because pressure is the only thing that makes your brain kick in? Then you hold yourself together all day then crash at night with spiraling thoughts, emotional overwhelm, or the familiar shame of asking yourself “Why can’t I just be normal for once?” You're doing all the right things - you’re self-aware, driven, responsible, but you’re still exhausted by the same loops: anxiety, shutdowns, and emotional swings

You’ve spent so much time holding it all together—being the strong one, the reliable one—but inside it feels like your body is carrying more than it can hold. Maybe you feel disconnected, anxious, or unsure why certain people or moments still trigger you. You’re tired of just surviving and ready to actually feel safe, calm, and whole. Whether you’re healing from trauma, navigating anxiety, or untangling attachment wounds, you’re craving a space where you can finally exhale.

If your life has included things like divorce, blended family dynamics, grief, family estrangement, family neurodivergence, career upheaval, or anxiety, you may want a therapist who can relate.
Together, we’ll make sense of how past experiences shape present struggles. Drawing from various approaches, we’ll work not just to relieve symptoms, but to understand the deeper patterns that hold them in place and create space for lasting change.I know first hand how hard it can be to reach out for help.

Facing obstacles alone in life can be a challenge. Choosing to seek help is a significant step in a journey that leads to better self-awareness, improved mood and emotions, and a healthier relationship with oneself and others. My approach is strengths-based and focuses on the goals and challenges the client brings to the therapeutic space to help find a way forward. While highlighting the resilience, strengths and successes clients already possess, we will also utilize thoughtful challenge and open and meaningful conversations that help deepen the understanding of emotions and the patterns and behaviours they influence.

Career Guidance Counsellors
How do I know if I need career counselling?
Determining whether a career counsellor is needed involves assessing one's current career and identifying what changes can be made to improve one's overall quality of life. In particular, feelings of loss of motivation, fatigue, anxiety, depression, procrastination, or ongoing levels of high stress can all be indicative of a need for career-related counselling. In addition, individuals changing jobs may want the decision-making support or self-reflection opportunities provided by a career counsellor.

Who can benefit from career counselling?
Anyone can benefit from the self-reflection, skill development, and stress management techniques that career counselling can provide. However, individuals who are feeling overwhelmed or burnt out with their current job and individuals considering a major career change may particularly benefit from career counselling to improve their wellbeing. Additionally, individuals who are facing issues in their current job, such as coworker relationship challenges or not meeting performance goals, may benefit from the perspective that a career counsellor can provide. College-age or young professionals may also uniquely benefit from career counselling as they make key decisions surrounding education and job training that will impact their career trajectory.

How long does career counselling typically last?
The length of career counselling can vary greatly depending on the needs of the individual and what type of support they are seeking Career coaching or advising services—which serve clients in a specific, goal-oriented capacity—often last for a shorter duration and are sometimes only a single session or a few sessions in length. In contrast, career counselling as part of a more integrative therapeutic relationship with a counsellor may last longer, particularly if the issues faced by the client are longstanding and/or more complex in nature; in such cases, individuals may expect therapy to last multiple months or longer.

How to prepare for career counselling?
Clients can prepare for career counselling sessions by outlining the specific topics they would like to address with the counsellor, such as current job challenges or hopes for the future of their career. Compiling one's thoughts on such topics often requires reflection on one's career and future goals, which in itself can be beneficial for session preparation. Clients may also want to put together a list of questions they would like to ask the counsellor, particularly if the career counsellor they are seeing has particular expertise in a given career area. Conducting research into potential future jobs, training opportunities, or support resources in one's area may also help clients prepare for career counselling by providing them with a background of what resources are available in their area.
