You don’t have to keep holding everything together on your own. Many people come in feeling anxious, burned out, or disconnected from themselves, their relationships or their sense of direction. With me, therapy is a steady place to slow down, untangle what feels overwhelming, and understand why you feel the way you do. My style is warm and direct. We’ll map the patterns that keep you stuck and build practical strategies you can use right away. We’ll also support your body and mind through steadier sleep, healthier routines, clear boundaries, and small daily choices that lower stress. The goal: a calmer life that feels yours.

Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming — especially if you’ve been carrying a lot on your own. Maybe you’ve been blaming yourself, feeling disconnected from others, or being hard on yourself, all while trying to keep it together.
If any of that sounds familiar, I want you to know: you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.
Therapy, as I see it, is a space where you can slow down and be real — with your struggles and the parts of you that are tired, hopeful, angry, questioning, or unsure. My role isn’t to fix you, but to walk alongside you, make sense of things, and support your healing process.

You might be feeling emotionally overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, or changes in your life that feel hard to manage. Maybe you notice yourself getting stuck in the same patterns, feeling disconnected from others, or doubting your worth. It can be exhausting trying to make sense of it all on your own.

What if you could talk to your partner without it becoming an escalated argument every single time? You’re looking for a therapist either because you’re not getting the emotional affection you need or because you have the same fights over and over. You try to discuss your problems but always end up disconnected. You’ve already tried everything you know to do. You have attempted some conversations, gone on date nights, read some books, and may have been to a therapist before. You’re scared of what might happen if something doesn’t change soon. Things are at the point now where you know you need professional help. You need change.

I am a Registered Gestalt Psychotherapist (RP) . Gestalt is the German word for "whole." I work with each of my clients as a whole-being (mind, body and soul) using a self-directed, in-the-moment approach to psychotherapy (in many cases fewer sessions are necessary). I help my clients through guided dialogue, observation and intuition in order for them become aware of their behaviors that are keeping them stuck in negative patterns. The best client / therapist sessions happen when my clients are willing to do their personal work. It is life changing!

You might look like you’re managing just fine — but inside, you feel stuck. You’re not broken, your mind is just doing what it’s been conditioned to do. With the right tools, you can rewire that.
I’m Georgia, a Certified Clinical Hypnotist with a background in psychology. I help people make meaningful, lasting change through personalized, evidence-based hypnosis — whether the goal is to feel more confident, overcome fears, manage weight, quit smoking, or build a calmer, more focused mind.

What is the relationship between weight management and mental health?
Mental health can be significantly influenced by one's physical health, so overall improvements in one's quality of life as a result of improved physical functioning from weight loss can have an overall positive impact on an individual's mental health and allow them to engage more readily in everyday activities. In addition, many strategies used to manage weight, such as exercise and maintaining a healthy diet, are also associated with reducing the symptoms of common mental health conditions, such as anxiety or depression. Individuals may also benefit from the improved self-esteem and self-efficacy that can come with successful weight management.
What is the psychological approach to losing weight?
While there are no specific therapy modalities specifically for weight loss, common psychological therapies can be highly effective in helping clients make lasting lifestyle changes. This may be called the "psychological approach" to weight loss because it does not rely on physical interventions, such as medication or weight loss surgery, to help clients lose weight. Weight loss counselling can be used in addition to or instead of such physical interventions. Some clients simply seek therapy to address the challenges that may accompany weight loss in general, including negative thoughts surrounding their body, disordered eating patterns, or difficulty completing daily tasks as a result of their weight challenges. In such cases, therapists will often utilise behavioural coaching or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques to help clients understand how their thoughts may be influencing their diet and physical activity patterns.
What type of therapy is commonly used in weight loss counselling?
Weight loss counseling often involves a combination of therapy and psychoeducation. Common techniques used by weight loss counselors include journalling, thought diaries, and other Cognitive Behavioural Therapy strategies that encourage clients to consider how their feelings about their weight loss impact their mental health. Weight loss counsellors may also teach clients mindfulness exercises, which can be used by clients during and after eating to be more aware of physical cues from their body surrounding eating. Some clients looking for weight loss therapy may also benefit from group therapy approaches, which utilise the power of social connection and accountability to help clients adhere to their weight loss plan.
Is therapy recommended for individuals undergoing bariatric surgery?
While therapy is not a requirement for individuals undergoing bariatric surgery, many individuals undergoing weight loss surgery may benefit from seeing a counsellor. Prior to surgery, counsellors can help clients decide whether surgical weight loss is a good fit for them and assist in surgery preparation. Post-surgery, counsellors can assist clients with the psychological component of maintaining their weight loss, as well as help clients navigate any postoperative pain. Throughout the surgical process, therapists can help clients process body-image challenges that may come with dramatic changes in weight, as well as manage symptoms of anxiety or depression that may accompany the major life changes bariatric surgery can bring.
