I am a Supervised Social Worker and Child and Youth Care Practitioner specialized in neurodiversity, health and mental health, with certification in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, Somatic Therapy for Complex Trauma, and I'm a ADHD Clinical Service Provider and Clinical Trauma Professional
You learned to adapt early. Perhaps you overthink, overperform, mask, minimize needs, take on too much responsibility, and stay one step ahead of what might go wrong just to quiet the tension or feel safe enough to belong. Now you’re surviving, but exhausted

Thank you for looking at my profile. It means you have taken the first step towards self care. Looking for a way to take care of your Mental, Emotional and Spiritual Self. Good for you! Now imagine your true self. The authentic you. Free from all the burdens you've been carrying. It is possible to be that self again. Together we will uncover and work through whatever you need to, to live the life you want. As we experience life, we sometimes struggle & suffer & build defences & adaptive behaviours to help us cope. Later on, these ways of being no longer serve us well and we want to free ourselves of them but find it too challenging.

In addition to talk therapy, I am trained in Somatic Experiencing (SE).
Are you feeling overwhelmed? Do your thoughts keep racing from one thing to another? Do you find you are excellent at taking care of everyone else but keep neglecting yourself? I would like to help. I am passionate about helping people to move past the "shoulds" and move towards creating the kind of life they want to live. Most of the time when we are distressed we are worrying either too much about the past or the future, or are overly preoccupied by what we imagine other people are thinking about us.

Welcome! I’m Lorraine, a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience. I support clients navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, stress, self-esteem, relationships, parenting, life transitions, and grief. I believe healing happens when people feel safe, understood, and supported. Clients often notice relief, greater emotional calm, clearer thinking, and over time, improved coping, communication, and confidence in managing life’s challenges.

I offer a holistic, trauma-informed approach to therapy and clinical supervision, blending evidence-based practices like CBT and EFT with tools that go beyond talk therapy, including somatic psychotherapy, mindfulness, and yoga-based therapy.
It’s hard to pour from an empty cup, yet so many of us try—whether navigating the emotional weight of motherhood and fertility struggles, carrying the lingering pain of childhood or relationship trauma, or facing burnout as an educator or healthcare professional. You might feel stretched thin, stuck in patterns of overwhelm, or disconnected from your own needs, unsure where to begin. In therapy, I offer a warm, compassionate space to process these challenges, strengthen your boundaries, rediscover balance, and a deeper sense of resilience... so that you can choose a lifestyle that nurtures both you and your relationships.

My areas of therapeutic interest involve Trauma-Informed and Attachment-Focused psychotherapy. I am available to work with teens (16+), and adults who are managing grief and loss, anxiety, stress, depression, and life transitions. I achieved an undergraduate degree in History and Literature and work well with "creatives" who find themselves leaning into a greater awareness of themselves and are reflecting on their lives, searching for meaning and ways of naming where they are now. I am conscious of holding space for folks as they process and unpack their experiences, incorporating a stance of curiosity and non-judgment.
