Life can feel overwhelming and lonely, and I firmly believe that these experiences often stem from deeper concerns about identity, purpose, and connection while remaining trapped in a cycle of self-doubt or emotional distress. I see therapy as a safe, non-judgmental space for exploration, empowerment, and authenticity in which we can build resilience, develop meaningful coping mechanisms, and challenge negative thoughts and behaviour to find deeper meaning behind your struggles. Whether you’re struggling with self-criticism, anxious thoughts, personal relationships, or anything in between, we can work together to cultivate change

Life’s challenges don’t have to define you. If anxiety, depression, or overwhelming thoughts are making it hard to move forward, therapy can offer space to slow down, reflect, and heal. When negative patterns take hold, it’s easy to feel stuck, but with support, change is possible. Whether you're navigating stress, emotional exhaustion, or neurodivergence, you're not alone. Together, we can make sense of what’s happening and build a path toward clarity, resilience, and hope.

For clients in Newfoundland, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. No expectations, no judgment, just support. Maybe you're thinking about therapy but you want to talk about some things and you don't know how the therapist will take it. You're worried it's too weird, too queer, too out there. You don't want to be judged or have to justify your life. You just want to talk. You can be as weird and queer and unexpected as you want to when we work together. You can take a minute to answer. You can play with a fidget toy and not make eye contact. You can talk about your husband and your girlfriend and your husband's girlfriend.

I also provide couples therapy and am certified in DBT support for teens.
My primary passion is supporting those facing significant life challenges. These situations can be mentally and emotionally overwhelming, but I believe that with good support, people can not only overcome these obstacles but also emerge stronger. Life’s toughest moments often hold the potential for meaningful change and resilience-building. If you’re working through something difficult, remember that you don’t have to face it alone.

Marriage Counselling Counsellors
How does marriage counseling work?
Marriage counseling works by teaching couples concrete skills to communicate with one another and solve disagreements in healthy ways. A trained mental health professional works with both members of a couple to explore difficulties the couple may be having and helps them develop skills to address these matters. Couples who don’t have any difficulties but want to prepare for marriage may develop skills for the future.

How long does marriage counseling typically last?
Marriage counseling is a short-term form of therapy; the process may last between four and eight sessions. Other forms of relationship guidance from mental health professionals, such as couples therapy, are longer lasting, may focus on the past rather than just the present, and are tailored to the individual couple and their emotions, history, and patterns in the relationship. Couples therapy often lasts for 12 weeks or longer.

Is marriage counseling effective?
Marriage counseling helps many couples develop relationship skills that may not have been acquired or tested in a relationship; partners may be better able to communicate and address conflict following counseling. However, there are many different forms of marriage counseling, and this form of counseling does not have as strong an evidence base as other modalities such as couples therapy.

Is marriage counseling effective if only one partner wants to go?
Yes, marriage counseling can still be effective if one partner convinces the other to engage in the process. Of course, whether counseling is effective depends on the couple’s commitment to work on their relationship; however, the short-term, skills-based nature of marriage counseling makes it a relatively easy “ask” of a partner, and the hesitant individual may see its value once counseling begins.
