I help clients break free from anxiety, perfectionism, ADHD challenges, and relationship stress using EMDR and evidence-based tools.
NEW - Now offering EMDR therapy in person in Etobicoke and virtually across Ontario. You’re the one people go to. The one who gets things done despite everything happening in their life. On paper, everything seems great but no one sees how much it’s costing you. It's natural to feel stuck when the old ways aren't quite working. You want to improve your self-worth, find better boundaries, and grow from your unspoken hurt.

Add in a sprinkling of pain: rejection, loss, disease, trauma, disability, death, betrayal, mental illness, addiction, oppression, neurodivergence, etc.
The gap between the life you want and the life you have, between the person you are and the one you want to be, that is disappointment. Manging to find a balance betwen the external demands of the world (employment, finances, school, parenting, relationships, housing, economy, etc) and the internal demands of ourselves (mind, body, spirit, aspirations, goals, purpose, peace, safety) is some serious work. Each life stage has its own specific rewards & challenges, but lately it seems we are all having to do MORE with LESS. That is stress. Many are overwhelmed & exhausted regardless of life stage.

My work often focuses on concerns such as anxiety, low mood, ADHD, emotional regulation, and learning differences.
I work with children, teens, and families who are feeling stuck, worried, or uncertain about how to move forward. Many parents come to me because their child is struggling at school, finding it hard to focus, manage big emotions, or feel confident in learning. Others seek support for anxiety, low mood, or behaviour challenges that make daily life more difficult. My goal is to help families make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface — to uncover each child’s unique way of learning, feeling, and growing — so that they can move forward with clarity, confidence, and connection.

Neurofeedback & Trauma Therapy: The impacts of trauma rewire the brain and nervous system to experience the world as a threatening place. This adaptation alters how we relate to ourselves and others, and it leads us away from authentic identity. Trauma includes events like past childhood abuse, emotional neglect, grief, rejection, chronic pain and illness, to name a few. You may become stressed, anxious, experience intrusive thoughts, fear, and rage. You may feel alone, easily triggered, trapped, and like there’s a void within—like you just can’t be yourself again. Yet, you have no clue that it all stems from unprocessed trauma.

Maybe you have late-diagnosed (or undiagnosed) ADHD, and chronic feelings of being “defective” loom over you constantly.
It's time to get back to basics: set better boundaries, regulate your emotions, calm your nervous system, and stop people pleasing. You need to work through your childhood trauma AND take action to creating the life you truly dream of. You want the confidence to show up as authentically you, and to uncover the blocks and patterns that have kept you stuck.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
