Overthinking, anxiety, relationship strain and couples conflict. Many of the people I work with come in feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected and unsure how to move forward in their relationships or personal lives. They're often stuck in patterns of overthinking, self-criticism, communication struggles, or emotional distance.
Even when things look "fine" on the outside, they don't feel that way inside.
If that resonates, you're not alone, and you don't have to keep managing on your own.
I work with individuals and couples in a way that is both reflective and practical.

Sometimes, the things that have happened in our past can affect our daily lives significantly. Trauma can make people feel as if their past defines who they are and that it will always have a grip on them. Although traumatic events can cause lasting effects, there are ways to regain control over your life if you have experienced trauma . As an EMDR and IFS clinician, I use an evidence-based approach to help you become 'unstuck'. Seeking trauma therapy requires immense courage. I understand how difficult it can be to discuss trauma, which is why I provide a calm, non-judgemental space for you to begin the healing process.

Let’s get this clear from the start: you aren’t ill, disordered, or flawed. You’re a human living in a world that creates constant stress and demands perfection. SO, while we will work on improving your quality of life, we’re going to focus on UNlearning just as much as learning. I like to explore, challenge, and empower you to lean into the difficult stuff using a gentle yet firm approach. My goal is to help you be able to accept those uncomfortable thoughts and feelings without being overwhelmed by them, and to connect you with a sense of confidence, clarity, and courage to live the way you want to.

I would like to acknowledge and honour your consideration to reach out for support. It is not always easy and can feel vulnerable. As Maya Angelou said, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” You are the expert of your life, however most of us need extra support to cope with the challenges that can arise in our daily lives. In today’s climate you may be feeling exhausted and access to the usual resources may be limited. This can be a lonely feeling and may be described as trauma – anything that you lack the resources to get through.

My work integrates somatic experiencing therapy and nervous system awareness to support deep emotional healing, self-understanding, and connection in a more embodied way.
You may look capable and high-functioning on the outside while internally feeling lost, emotionally exhausted, hypervigilant, disconnected from yourself, uncertain about your relationships, or overwhelmed by change.
Many of the people I work with are navigating periods of deep transition or chronic tension: grief and loss, burnout, relationship changes, identity shifts, existential questioning, emotional overwhelm or dysregulation, shutdown, attachment wounding, trauma symptoms, or the quiet realization that the life they built no longer feels sustainable or full alive.

I welcome questions of meaning, spirituality, and identity, and integrate relational, somatic and evidence-based tools to meet you where you are.
Life can hand us twists and turns we don't expect or want. We can react in ways we don't understand and wish we could change. We wonder what it all means and how to find hope.
As a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Psychospiritual Therapist, I help with life's harder passages — grief, loss, and major transitions — the moments that ask who we are and what matters. Psychospiritual therapy speaks not to a particular belief but to how we answer 'why?' — especially in times of loss and change.

How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
