Life isn't always easy. It's not unusual to feel hurt or confused. People we count on are not always there for us in times of need because some people reach out when upset and some retreat. This can leave us feeling abandoned or overwhelmed. Therapy uses curiosity about our inner world to become more resilient, self aware, and engaged. Not all problems get solved by random talking. My tools help you get unstuck to deepen your sense of intimacy with yourself and others. Even your first time in therapy can be comfortable and productive. Check out the articles I've published in Psychology Today and call for a no obligation consult.

I am a Jungian Psychoanalyst offering Jungian Analysis to individuals who want a deeper understanding of themselves. For many reasons, these persons feel emotionally in pain, conflicted or unbalanced in their inner and/or outer life and would benefit from exploring the deep rooted causes of relationship problems and unproductive emotional patterns. The direction of therapy is to look to the past and to the unconscious determinants of behaviour but also to open to the creative and positive movements of the psyche that offer a way forward even in the face of the greatest difficulties or trauma.

Do you often feel anxious and think the worst will happen? Do you worry, overthink, or have irrational fears? Or, have you experienced a traumatic event that is causing you nightmares, flashbacks or strong negative feelings? We can sometimes feel hopeless and wish our feelings could just disappear. To alleviate discomfort, we might avoid triggers or try to regain control by engaging in behaviours that hold us back from living a life that is aligned with our goals. If this is you, I can help.
Welcome, I believe that no concern is too big or too small for support in therapy. Many people feel uneasy about taking a step for help, while others look forward to it. No matter where you are at, I will work with you there. I will work at your pace and will offer a non-judgemental, compassionate environment to work through your concerns. I would feel humbled and honoured to walk alongside you and to support you in your journey of growth, healing or coping.

I enjoy working with women, trans and non-binary people who have had long-term mental health struggles and a history of trauma. The people I see are often struggling with understanding the impact of childhood wounds, stressful relationships involving difficulty with intimacy or autonomy, coping with the after-effects of sexual violence and/or feeling stuck in emotions such as shame and loneliness. These people may be trying to reconcile their values and desired way of being in the world with intense reactions that seem to come out of the blue. I also do work regarding gender, sexuality and neurodiversity.
I believe that change is possible. I also believe that sometimes we need help and encouragement to identify the strengths within ourselves to make change happen. The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of how I approach my work. A feeling of safety and the building of trust can allow clients to begin to accept themselves, have compassion for themselves and harness their innate gifts and strengths. I understand the power of therapy from personal experience. I learned that healing is possible and the past does not have to rule the present and future.
