I've wanted to be a private practice therapist since I was a child, because I know how the past can echo through our lives in unexpected and difficult ways, even as we grow beyond the things we've been through. I can help you with family relationships, parenting struggles, childhood trauma, anxiety and depression, behavioural and substance addictions, self-esteem/self-compassion, and more. I work with men and women, children and adults, families and individuals. I also have expertise in women's mental health and domestic violence, hormonal impact on mental/emotional health, and postpartum anxiety, depression and rage.

You’ve already taken the first step toward healing—just by being here. I work with teens and young adults who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, constant overthinking, social pressure, or fear of messing up. Life right now can feel overwhelming—maybe you’re adjusting to a big change, leaving home, or facing academic stress. Whatever it is, you don’t have to figure it all out alone. This is a space where you can feel heard, supported, and never judged. Together, we’ll explore what’s fueling your anxiety, learn ways to manage it, and build tools to help you feel more in control, confident, and ready to take on whatever comes next.

Accepting New Clients. My name is Jasmine, and I support clients carrying the weight of childhood wounds, generational trauma, family conflict, and complicated relationships. Maybe you’ve tried to keep the peace, but arguments still happen, boundaries don’t stick, and old triggers hit hard. You might feel torn between cultural or family expectations and what you truly want -and guilty for wanting something different. If you feel stuck, unheard, or exhausted by the same patterns, you’re not alone. Therapy can be a safe space to untangle it with compassion, understand where it comes from, and start healing how it impacts you today.

I specialize in working with adults and couples dealing with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship & communication struggles, disconnection, and feeling “stuck” in old habits.
You want to appear strong and put together, but underneath that exterior you’re juggling anxiety, racing thoughts, emotional overload, or a sense of feeling numb or disconnected from yourself. You might be stuck in the same relationship patterns, bottling things up until you shut down or snap, or feeling like you’re drifting through life without clarity or direction. Maybe you’ve tried traditional talk therapy before and it didn't quite click. Now you’re ready for something that feels different, more authentic, intuitive, and genuinely supportive. I offer just that.

My primary modality in sessions is Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to work with individuals, couples and families.
Having my own family and children has made me aware of the huge transition into partnership and parenthood. I understand the importance of individual and couple supports prior and into partnership or marriage. I have learned first-hand how counselling can be an opportunity for change and the need to lean on the support of family, friends and counselling.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward? Do you find yourself carrying experiences that continue to shape how you think, feel, and relate to others? You may appear “fine” on the outside, but internally feel exhausted, disconnected, or unseen. You don’t have to figure this out alone.

My passion is to help people regain their inner peace and happiness to live a pleasurable fulfilled life. Life is full of ups, downs and challenges that we are often not prepared for. It does not matter how many times you get knocked down, but the what matters comes from how many times you get up. I believe the greatest accomplishment is who you become while picking yourself back up. Each new day gives you a fresh start to get back on track and to have the courage to rebuild yourself the way you desire. In therapy we would work collaboratively to address your needs and to determine how best to meet these needs.

Marriage Counselling
How does marriage counseling work?
Marriage counseling works by teaching couples concrete skills to communicate with one another and solve disagreements in healthy ways. A trained mental health professional works with both members of a couple to explore difficulties the couple may be having and helps them develop skills to address these matters. Couples who don’t have any difficulties but want to prepare for marriage may develop skills for the future.

How long does marriage counseling typically last?
Marriage counseling is a short-term form of therapy; the process may last between four and eight sessions. Other forms of relationship guidance from mental health professionals, such as couples therapy, are longer lasting, may focus on the past rather than just the present, and are tailored to the individual couple and their emotions, history, and patterns in the relationship. Couples therapy often lasts for 12 weeks or longer.

Is marriage counseling effective?
Marriage counseling helps many couples develop relationship skills that may not have been acquired or tested in a relationship; partners may be better able to communicate and address conflict following counseling. However, there are many different forms of marriage counseling, and this form of counseling does not have as strong an evidence base as other modalities such as couples therapy.

Is marriage counseling effective if only one partner wants to go?
Yes, marriage counseling can still be effective if one partner convinces the other to engage in the process. Of course, whether counseling is effective depends on the couple’s commitment to work on their relationship; however, the short-term, skills-based nature of marriage counseling makes it a relatively easy “ask” of a partner, and the hesitant individual may see its value once counseling begins.
