You feel the pressure to be perfect all the time … with parenting, food, your appearance, performance, in relationships or just in life. You’re someone that gives 110%, but still doubts your successes, feeling like you always need to do more, and that you’re never good enough. You may be overwhelmed with anxiety or stuck on a past experience. You may have been dealing with these thoughts or feelings since childhood. But now you’re ready to make a change. You’re ready to feel proud of your abilities, to feel confident again. You want peace again, and more mental space to enjoy life. I want to help you get there.

You’re not lazy or broken! You just need the right strategies to harness your strengths. Imagine finally feeling in control, clear-headed, and confident in your abilities. Let's get you there.

Let's talk. I also think that Psychology Today profiles are weird to read. But since you're here - you're likely here because something in your life, or the life of someone you love, might be asking for change. More clarity, more purpose, or a different way of being. Together, we can make space to explore that honestly. I work collaboratively to help you understand your patterns, experiences, and what truly matters to you—so you can move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life. I have a particular interest in supporting youth and adults in the arts who are working to bring their creative lives into focus.

Your brain won’t shut off. The intrusive thoughts, the rituals, the what-ifs, it’s exhausting. Maybe you’re constantly seeking reassurance, avoiding things that trigger anxiety, or stuck in mental loops that make no sense but feel impossible to stop. You know the fears aren’t rational, but that doesn’t make them any less intense. OCD isn’t just about cleanliness or order, it can latch onto anything, from relationships to safety to daily routines. If you’re feeling trapped by anxiety and compulsions, you’re not broken and you don’t have to manage it alone. There’s a way forward.

I work with people who are ready to do the deeper work to understand who they are, why their nervous system responds a certain way, and how they can stop repeating patterns. This often looks like understanding family systems, transgenerational trauma, and core beliefs. I use evidence based modalities such as AF-EMDR to process trauma, and have extensive training in trauma and stress, and post traumatic growth. My typical clients experience childhood trauma (attachment, 'mother wounding'), complex trauma, recent and past trauma (sexual assault), relationship problems (infidelity), burn out (stress leave), and midlife crisis.

Hi and welcome! I believe therapy can be beneficial for anyone and is an opportunity to talk about and explore ways to improve quality of life. While traditionally thought of as a way to help work through a problem or mental health issue, it doesn't have to be engaged in only when facing a particular challenge. Therapy can extend beyond resolving problems and achieving life satisfaction and can be about thriving and getting the most out of life. My goal is to support you to be the version of yourself you would like to be and to create the same for your life.

Do you intellectually understand your mental health, but your body and emotions still feel stuck? In traditional talk therapy, the focus is often entirely on the mind. But for those navigating trauma, chronic stress, or stress-induced digestive issues, talking isn't enough. As a process-oriented and somatic psychotherapist, I help you bridge the gap between mind and body. If you are naturally curious about how your nervous system works and open to trying evidence-based techniques that go beyond standard talk therapy, let’s explore what uniquely resonates with you to help you feel meaningfully better.

You've been to therapy before. You know what it's like: sympathetic, supportive, validating. That's all really nice, but comments like: "You're so self-aware!" become stale after awhile. You've overcome mountains and you know that you're capable of even greater things, if only you could get out of your own way. You may even have this creepy feeling running in the background that if you don't get to what's underneath the self-sabotage, you'll keep ruining relationships and opportunities. You're tired of regret. You're ready to be challenged. You've made it this far, and you deserve to be appreciated for all that that's taken.

Calling creative, sensitive over-thinkers who experience big feelings in relationships. The ruminating worries, self-doubt, and negative body image spin in your head since childhood (which is a story in itself!). On a logical level, you've understood your story, but something is still missing. You are still anxious, insecure, easily overwhelmed, and find it hard to manage your feelings. In moments of stillness, you look for ways to numb out the shadows of the past. As if parts of you were still stuck back there, lost in the memories. You miss connecting to imagination, creativity, curiosity, and light. Where did it go?

Many of the women I work with are thoughtful, self-aware, and the person everyone else leans on. They’re used to being the reliable one—the emotional translator, the fixer, the one holding everything together. From the outside it can look like they have it all handled. Inside, though, they’re often exhausted. Burnout, anxiety, and frustrating relationship patterns start showing up, and they find themselves wondering why they keep repeating the same dynamics or why prioritizing their own needs feels so hard.

Secular and Non-Religious Counsellors
What is a secular and non religious approach in therapy?
Secular or non-religious therapy is a theoretical orientation used by many therapists and describes a therapeutic approach that does not rely on any specific religious or faith-based beliefs in the therapeutic process. Secular counsellors will often approach therapy with an emphasis on evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients, instead of relying on religious practices, such as prayer or belief in God.

Is secular therapy primarily for non-religious people?
Both religious and non-religious individuals can benefit from secular therapy. People exploring their religious or spiritual beliefs may find it especially useful to work with a secular therapist who is unbiased toward any specific religion. While religious individuals might value the connection and familiarity of seeing a counsellor who shares their beliefs, secular counselling can offer them the chance to develop coping skills independent of their religious practice, which can be beneficial in various aspects of their lives.

Can a secular approach to therapy help with religious trauma?
One major reason clients may seek a secular therapist is to process previous religious experiences, including religious trauma. Secular therapists can help clients manage symptoms of the trauma through practices such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). They can also encourage clients through talk therapy or psychodynamic approaches to explore the roots of their religious trauma. Since secular therapists do not have any predetermined religious beliefs, they can be particularly helpful for clients looking to explore their own religious beliefs following a history of religious trauma.

What does non religious marriage and premarital counselling involve?
Marriage and premarital counselling typically involves a couple meeting with a therapist to discuss topics such as planning for marriage, navigating a new marriage, addressing relationship challenges, and developing better communication and conflict resolution skills. Non-religious therapists assist couples in achieving these goals without adhering to specific religious beliefs or frameworks, often emphasising inclusivity and non-judgment, especially for "nontraditional" couples. However, seeking couples therapy from a non-religious counsellor does not mean religious topics are off-limits. In fact, non-religious couples from different religious backgrounds may benefit from a secular therapist who remains neutral toward the beliefs of each partner.
