With extensive experience, I can assist with managing (and thriving!) with ADD/ ADHD, processing trauma, navigating separation/divorce, and coping with loss and grief.
A warm hello from a therapist with a humanistic approach. I believe everyone deserves a sense of belonging and healthy relationships, and I strive to cultivate a therapeutic relationship that allows you to be yourself. I understand that not everyone can come to an office for therapy and I offer virtual appointments for your convenience and accessibility.

Our fast-paced world can sometimes leave us feeling unsure and overwhelmed, and the pain and hurt from our pasts often seems to intrude in the now. We’re often confronted with challenges that leave us feeling stressed, stuck, and unable to cope. We might not have confidence in who we are or where we fit. Change and growth is important, but where do we start? Often times, we just need a few moments to pause and reflect to figure out where to set our feet next and a listening ear can help us cut through the complexity. I believe the best path forward lies within us; sometimes we just need a little bit of help to uncover it.

I'm also in the process of completing a 15-week specialty course that focuses on ADHD supports and strategies.
I work with a variety of individual challenges - from the every day stresses to impactful moments that change our path in life. Whether you’re wanting to build self-awareness, discover coping skills, or simply needing someone to listen (for once!), I’m there. I’m also inspired by stories of resilience and reminding people just how much strength they carry in themselves. It’s about feeling recognized for our efforts and knowing our value. My professional experience has been previously built around working with children and youth, but I have since expanded my practice to welcome adults into therapy and it has been a privilege.

You may have reached a point in life where you’ve done all the right things — therapy, self-help books, mindfulness, perhaps years of personal growth — yet something still feels unsettled inside. You’re self-aware, compassionate, and insightful, but your nervous system remains on alert, your body carries tension, and your mind keeps looping old stories that no longer align with who you are becoming. Maybe you sense a deeper calling for change, though the next step feels uncertain. You identify as empathic, intuitive, or spiritually curious — someone who feels deeply, takes responsibility for others and yet longs for more calm, more

In addition to my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, I hold qualifications in EMDR, ADHD and Neurodiversity, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Couples and Sex Therapy, and am in the final stages of completing a second Master of Science in Psychedelic Medicine.
Clients with trauma and neurodivergence often struggle with overwhelming emotions, difficulty regulating their responses, and heightened sensitivity to stress. They may experience intrusive memories, flashbacks, or anxiety, making it hard to focus or maintain relationships. Life feels chaotic, with routines and social interactions often overwhelming or exhausting. They might feel misunderstood, isolated, or inadequate. Day to day life is disrupted by racing thoughts or emotional discomfort, leaving them exhausted, anxious, and unsure how to break the cycle.

I have particular interest and extensive experience working with trauma or difficult past experiences, family relationship difficulties, suspected or diagnosed ADHD, and suspected or diagnosed Borderline Personality Disorder.
Do you want to see changes in your life, but don't know what to do next? Do the same issues or patterns come up for you again and again? As we go through life, we face challenges that can impact us and our personal growth going forward. Sometimes the things we have been doing in the past to cope and get by don't seem to work or have the same effect as they once did . We need to find new ways of thinking and behaving to readjust, cope, and heal from the past so we can manage the challenges ahead of us. Let’s team up together to take control of your story and make the changes you would like to see in your life.

You’ve spent so much of your life trying to make sense of a world that doesn’t always make sense to your brain. Maybe you’ve learned to mask and to push through burnout, but you’re exhausted from trying to “get it right.” In our work together, you are invited to show up as you are. Together, let’s explore how you can better understand and accept your unique mind, unmask safely, and build a more meaningful and authentically led life. Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you, it’s about helping you feel safe in your body, confident in your voice, and supported in creating a life that feels more like your own.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
