Have you ever felt like “just getting by” has become your default setting? Like you’re living in survival mode—functioning on the outside, but carrying an invisible weight that no one else can see? Maybe you’ve spent years being the strong one, all while feeling alone, exhausted, or disconnected. Chronic stress, trauma, and toxic relationships don’t just leave emotional wounds—they rewire how we feel safety, build closeness, and self-protect from pain. They can leave us feeling stuck: frozen, shut down, or constantly on edge. And while your past may shape your story, it doesn’t have to write your future.

As a psychotherapist, I offer a supportive space for individuals, couples, and families to heal and grow.
An ideal psychotherapy client is open to self-exploration, recognizing that their current coping strategies no longer serve them. They may struggle with identity, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, or unhealthy relational patterns. Despite feeling stuck, they seek deeper self-understanding, emotional resilience, and authentic connections. They want to break free from limiting beliefs, reconcile conflicting aspects of themselves, and create lasting change. Motivated by the need for growth and healing, they are ready to address the root causes of their distress and build a more fulfilling life

I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship strain, emotional overwhelm, and that quiet inner voice that whispers, “I’m not enough.
If anxiety, depression, chronic stress, or relationship issues are weighing on you, you’re not alone. Many people find themselves stuck in cycles of overthinking, emotional exhaustion, conflict, or self-doubt, unsure how to break patterns that no longer serve them. You might feel disconnected from your values, overwhelmed by life transitions, or stretched beyond your current coping capacity. I approach therapy with compassion, cultural awareness, and the belief that meaningful change begins when you feel truly seen, heard, and understood.

I specialize in helping individuals and couples build strength and heal from toxic relationships, dysfunctional communication and understanding their past traumas.
We teach people how to treat us. If we don’t know how to love ourselves, to accept ourselves, to be compassionate with ourselves, how can we expect others to? If you struggle with issues such as people pleasing, guilt, shame, having high expectations of yourself but have low expectations of others then you have placed others’ needs over your own. If you have a hard time saying no because you worry that others will not like you or want to spend time with you, then working on boundaries assists you with experiencing clearer expectations of yourself and others. Work towards a healthier you.

You're smart, successful, driven - but you're stuck. On the outside nobody would guess it, but on the inside you feel torn apart. Your anxiety is relentless, your inner critic berates your every word, you can never get caught up on your to-do list, and no matter how much praise you get - you simply don't believe it. You wonder if you have anxiety, or maybe it's ADHD, or maybe even depression or past trauma. You definitely know you can't relax, it's hard to even stay still. You've read the self-help books, tried meditation, mental health walks, journaling...You know at the core you need to "love yourself", but truly don't know how.

What you really want is to get back to the early days of the relationship, when things felt effortless, fun, even sexy. You want things to be loving and easy again. You want to find a way to stop walking on eggshells around your partner. You want to stop feeling let down by your partner again and again. You want to find a way to make this relationship work.

I help individuals and couples heal from trauma, anxiety, PTSD, relationship struggles, life transitions, and identity challenges.
My approach is warm, relational, and integrative. I draw from various forms of therapy as I recognize healing isn’t a one-size fits all approach, your experiences, values, and goals are unique, and our work together will reflect that. I integrate a range of modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapy, EMDR and narrative therapy.

Marriage Counselling Counsellors
How does marriage counseling work?
Marriage counseling works by teaching couples concrete skills to communicate with one another and solve disagreements in healthy ways. A trained mental health professional works with both members of a couple to explore difficulties the couple may be having and helps them develop skills to address these matters. Couples who don’t have any difficulties but want to prepare for marriage may develop skills for the future.

How long does marriage counseling typically last?
Marriage counseling is a short-term form of therapy; the process may last between four and eight sessions. Other forms of relationship guidance from mental health professionals, such as couples therapy, are longer lasting, may focus on the past rather than just the present, and are tailored to the individual couple and their emotions, history, and patterns in the relationship. Couples therapy often lasts for 12 weeks or longer.

Is marriage counseling effective?
Marriage counseling helps many couples develop relationship skills that may not have been acquired or tested in a relationship; partners may be better able to communicate and address conflict following counseling. However, there are many different forms of marriage counseling, and this form of counseling does not have as strong an evidence base as other modalities such as couples therapy.

Is marriage counseling effective if only one partner wants to go?
Yes, marriage counseling can still be effective if one partner convinces the other to engage in the process. Of course, whether counseling is effective depends on the couple’s commitment to work on their relationship; however, the short-term, skills-based nature of marriage counseling makes it a relatively easy “ask” of a partner, and the hesitant individual may see its value once counseling begins.
